Yes, but never underestimate the amount of work necessary to actually put such a thing in practice. Writers are humans, they cannot write infinite pairings and when you set a limit to such ideas getting through the common ones alones is such a herculean effort one has to wonder if any ink will be left in the pen by the time we get to the silly ones. I tried to do what you guys recommended but I still don't quite like it. The idea of a name box with a solid background is very good but I'm not really sure I can nail it. I tried making it darker than the dialogue box so you can see all kinds of names in it without needing the outline and added some texture, but it just looks ugly as fuck. I will keep trying though. Right now one of my other concerns is the backgrounds, I'm trying to fit as many of them as I can by really streching my search across the TV episodes, but for some reason TV doesn't look as crisp as the art that came directly from Trigger like the anon posted, I don't know if I am fucking it up on waifu2x, maybe it's the quality of the raws Asenshi got, in which case I can do nothing but wait for the BD raws and that would suck cause I get restless waiting for my turn. Or maybe it's just my imagination, or different backgrounds got done by different artists in a hurry so shit will inevitably look slightly different. All I know it is I sense a drop in quality that is slowly driving me mad.

Finally played the entire VN. The idea is pretty entertaining and the writing is surprisingly decent but I don't think all the routes have the same writing quality and the characterization of some of the girls is of variable quality. I actually thought the most in-character characters were Diana and Chariot and it made me realize that they're actually the most galge-like characters; Amanda was good but she felt a bit too sexual compared to her TV series counterpart. I thought Akko was the character you were the most afraid to use, she was a bit less cartoony than in the TV series.

I wanted to have her be a sort of rebellious girl to play off the bland MC, the kind of girl you know it's trouble but you can't resist following her on the back alleys of the city instead of attending class, sort of with a tomboy/delinquent girlfriend vibe. I hope I didn't screw that up because I already scrapped her route once. (It was a Lupin esque heist route, but I thought it was too dark since it involved of all things fucking shootouts in russian nightclubs and a guy tracking her down as revenge since ever since she stole a jewel from his mansion rumours of his security being lax started running around and many attempts at his life started to happen.)

I couldn't really deal with Akko's cartoonishness to be honest, she got stung by a bee and flew away in the most cartoonish manner possible in the show, she's some Looney Tunes shit. But what really made her get the short end of the stick is that her entire route revolves around the MC attempting to get closer to her and yet ignoring the things that really matter, so I ended up really underutilizing her. I scrapped many routes before I got here (Over 100,000 words of material if I'm not wrong) so let these numbers serve as testament that I'm not above rewriting a route from zero if a better idea shows up, the only thing that matters to me is that anons enjoy the final product, and I hope more people like you show up since this is exactly the kind of discussion I want to have to grow this project.

I would like to get an artist and discuss his limits, in terms of how many drawings he is willing to draw, since depending on the route the girls can get some serious makeover on them, which increase the number of overall sprites. Ripping them off from the show is impossible, they constantly move, odd angles abound and some are missing necessary facial expressions. Trigger really put their back into animating this. Of course I don't plan like the anon in the thread before this one to DANGANRONPA them up and make the artist draw them in wildly different poses all the time, that would be just cruel and unfair punishment.
