>character has a cold
>they act like they're seriously sick
>>
They can be deadly
>>
>>160798346
Japanes peoples immune system is shit!
>>
>>160798346
Ever notice with colds, Japanese characters pass out for some reason? Every time.
>>
>>160798887
Don't forget the amnesia.
>>
>>160798913
If a normal person had any of those symptoms, they would be in the hospital or bed sick for a month. Is Japanese immunity that bad?
>>
>>160798975
The anime cold is just as real as the fact that the main staple in Japan is omurice or that school roofs are open for secluded lunches.
>>
anime hardly ever portray lazy kids who search for every little reason to stay at home from school.
If the cold is not serious there simply is no reason to even mention it.
>>
>>160798346
>not knowing about the deadly Japanese cold
Anna's VA died of it...
>>
>>160798346
due to their isolationist culture the japanese have a shit immune system
>>
>>160798346
There is a list of nation with the highest death from flu.
Egypt is first and Japan is in top ten.
Anyone still have it?
>>
>>160798346
It literally is. The people literally live just to work in Japan with very little time for self. It has taken a toll on their immune systems which is just barely existent. A certain voice actress literally died from it.
>>
It's the n.1 excuse in Japan for taking a day off. It's bad for their image to take their paid days off, so they make their companies use them for their 'I had a fever/a cold' days.
>>
>>160799252
No, she died of pneumonia.
>>
>>160800398
That was influenza, and yes people die from it. Not only the Japanese, by the way.
Pneumonia and influenza, both start with a fever and something that looks like a cold. Both illnesses kill a lot of people every year in Japan.
And not only in Japan.
>>
>>160799193
>source: my dad works for Nintendo
>>
>>160800398.
No, it was pneumonia.
>>
>>160799692
That makes no sense.
>>
>>160800767
But that happens in anime so it's just a stupid anime cliche!!111
>>
>>160800864
Then you're an idiot and should have stayed in school
>>
>>160800693
not true. Youre expected to come into work even with a cold or fever. The only exceptions are bed ridden sickness and the flu.
>>
>>160800864
It makes perfect sense. Immune systems are trained by exposure. Genetic variety increases the variety of immunities in your population.
Of course this doesn't mean a country should be running a 15%+ immigrant pop. That way leads to guaranteed disaster. But a sprinkling of xeno spices does help.
>>
>>160801378
Japan is not a tiny town. It has more than 100 million people. They have enough genetic variety.
>>
>>160801771
> They have enough genetic variety.
Then why do all of them look the same?
>>
>>160798346
>He doesn't know about the deadly Japanese cold
>>
>>160800398
How can Japan seem so happy in my animes but be so cruel in reality
>>
I was away from work three days this week because of a cold.
>>
>>160803542
Inbreeding. It has become such a major issue to the Japanese that it's common knowledge their genes are fucked up and make them more susceptible to illnesses.
>>
>>160807438
If only they didn't marry their own sisters and cousins.
>>
>>160800398
Are you literally serious about this literal cold, literalky?
>>
>>160807623
Literally
>>
>>160798346
I died once from a cold
>>
>>160807576
It's not their fault that their sisters/cousins tend to be fuck-hot
>>
>>160807576
It dates back to the Sengoku Jidai. A lot of inbreeding started there, and it just continued on until the Meiji era where it was officially frowned upon. But in rural areas especially, mothers and sons and fathers and daughters had babies quite often.
>>
>>160807863
That's nothing. I once came back to life from a cold.

>>160798346
So we have Truck-Kun and the deadly japanese cold. Is there a third cause of death meme?
Suicide?
>>
>>160798346
Radiation really messed them up. Back in my grandpas day they would find Jap soldiers buried in the rock in Okinawa after 20 days without food or water still alive and ready to kill you. banzai
>>
Japanese colds are serious business.
>>
>>160808487
'That'.
