You know why that is? Because it IS like a Darker Than Black with cute girls. There's no way you cared about DTB's cast after just one episode. Just like DTB this show starts off in the middle of the action to hook you with an interesting world and only in episodes after that it starts having character-focused arcs that give you the reasons to care about and like the cast.

It's been too long since you watched DTB to appreciate what made it good in the first place and see how this show presents similar qualities. You already like DTB's characters so you can't even see how the show made you care about them.
