Except there is always a favorite in an harem. And love isn't an infinite source, feelings can fade with wrong decisions, having multiple girls means I'm spreading my love too thin. Even in my waifu's series, there is a girl who wins, and the others take a back seat after that. But even those are excuses, on a fundamental level I simply cannot love more than a single girl, there is just something inside me that tells me to devote my life and soul to her and only her.
