I admit, I was expecting the streak of good episodes to break eventually, but what the fuck was this?

A much more logical way to end her arc would have been simply to tell her she can do whatever she wants to do and that there is really no reason for her to continue skating if she doesn't want to.

Also if she is really like 70-90 years old how come her dream looked so modern? Is the real world 50 years in the future because it does not look like it.
Worst episode yet in my opinion.

Well that makes sense since it is the only thing she can be proud of and enjoy. At first I wanted her to spend a whole life in the dream world, like that one VR life simulator in Rick and Morty or some shit, but thinking about it now it would have made things worse since it isn't real anyway.
Wonder if her boyfriend existed in RL as well.

This anime is so good but it makes me feel bad.

The first episode felt pretty bland to me, but the second and third absolutely drew me into this series. If you like shows with episodic format with a little bit of continuity (think kekkai sensen or the first half of kaiba), then you should give this a try.

Speaking of it spending the life in lucid dreams sounds awesome as shit in the first place. The stuff I experience in these things is ten times more interesting than anything in real life, I mean it's not real but being happy is the only thing that matters in the end and 18if is even better because you aren't just talking with some dream versions of yourself but real people like MC and cat guy. Would be interested to see at least one episode in which two witches meet each other in their dream worlds, if this is possible.

I think it made sense, but I don't think it was a very good episode overall, spent too much time fucking around with montages, and then rushed its final part. It didn't feel like she had started to love skating again, just that she was forced into something she hated again and gave up after being forced into a corner.

There were so many ways it could've been done better than just "destiny says so who cares what you think".
