For the same reason people like Gabriel Dropout or Usami. The show has some actual comedic value beyond what you usually see in "comedy shows", which my modern standards very often just means action/romance with one gag an episode.

Have you ever min maxed a character in an RPG and then laughed at the hypothetical problems they would be sure to encounter later? That's what konosuba is, a min maxed team that can't actually do anything except for what it's made to specialise in, and it's also kinda funny because they fail a lot ( it's also a little titillating but I said I wouldn't mention that)
