if they remade something good, odds are the remake wouldnt be as good and everyone would hate it. by only remaking bad shows, they allow themselves the possibility of actually being a good thing for the franchise.

In 2007, ten years ago, there were remakes/re-adaptations of Kitaro, Giant Robo, Dancouga, Jeeg, Raideen, Terra e, NGE, Hokuto no Ken, and JoJo. The remakes have always been there, you're probably noticing now because they're catching up to the stuff you watched as a kid.
