I thought it was pretty horrifying since it looked straight up like blind devotion during first few episodes of arc 3. It was also hard to take someone that seemed to be not right in the head like her seriously. But then, From Zero happened and I changed my mind. But then, I already sorta liked her after arc 2 so I guess loyalty wasn't one of those reasons why I came to love this character. It had more to do with her fun and charismatic personality and her character's relatedness, like her goals, circumstances, challenges, etc.

Almost everything is idealized in fiction, especially in anime, so it isn't that hard to find "perfect wife material." However, I do find Rem's personality relatable and very enjoyable to read and watch.
