I can see him "siding" with the demons and doing questionable things perhaps out of necessity if it turns out they aren't just saving him for the Tifari and actually recruited him for something. Normally I'd say the Tifari is too important to the point where they wouldn't let him go but Mama was willing to let Emma try her hand at becoming a mama herself. So they can't "need" all three if Mama was willing to spare one.

I think they probably don't need all three of them but yeah, the more the merrier. I assume if they only needed one then maybe Norman was actually kept and that's one of the reasons why they're trying so hard to get the other two. If all else fails then he's definitely next on the list but that gives me rescue arc vibes and I don't know how to feel about them going back to the farm so soon.
Because honestly, if he's kept alive from a narrative standpoint then he's definitely not just dying "again" so a rescue mission would have to be in order.

Maybe Mama actually made Norman fuck off somewhere by "recommending" him to the demons for something like she wanted to do to Emma. Because maybe she assumed Emma would break down and quit? Losing Leslie took a toll on Mama so maybe she thought Emma would lose the will to fight, there seemed to be deliberate similarities between the characters.
So she would make Emma become a Mama, Norman would have fucked off somewhere and she'd still have Ray for the Tifari, his shipment was really near anyway.
So now that Ray and Emma did get away, there's no one for the Tifari. Maybe you're right and that's why they're so desperately after the two, the only other option may already be doing something.

I don't think they'd go back to the farm, the demons probably have the Tifari at a special place, maybe in Demon HQ. Remember that Sung-Joo told them there are several farms like Grace Fields in the demon world.

Then again, going to Demon HQ sounds like would be the end to a bigger arc and not so soon, so there's that.

Since reaching Minerva probably concludes the arc, it might not be too ridiculous to think he might be the key to getting there. If he can walk in and out of demon territory then he's gotta be on equal grounds with them and know how things work. Hopefully he's not an enemy.
