are there actual people out there who prefer the sub version of cowboy bebop?
Subs are always superior.

Shameful display.

I prefer the dub, but Spike's English voice has never been my cup of tea. I think it works far better with Mugen.

Obviously. Dubfags don't seem to have much faith in the dub either, having to make up lies about things the director supposedly said.

Original voice acting respects the creator's original intentions. Whether you like it or not voice actors are purposefully chosen to represent the creator's character in mind.
Imagine if you had written the script for a movie, but let someone who has no idea what the movie is about hire actors that didn't fit your vision. Dubbing simply imitates the original voice actors tone by losing out on the subtleties of his craft. It doesn't help that the english VA scene is scarce as fuck on talent. Dubfags can argue all they want, it doesn't change the fact that you're not watching the full experience the creator envisioned, whether you know Japanese or not.

nice blog
dub cowboy bebop is still better

The awesome lines just sound melodramatic and cheesy when said in English. Plus, sub is how I first watched the show so I'm more used to it.
I wonder if there are some nips that watch the dub with japanese subs.
>tfw no point in watching murican dubs due to being a filthy non-native english speaker

I'm not English native speaker and I enjoyed watching a couple of shows dubbed. There is certainly a point unless your listening coprehension doesn't allow you to watch shows on an enjoyable level, but then you can treat it as a practice.
