It certainly was one of the better ones in an overall weak season. The strength in the characters is mostly Sana, who were were told knew little to nothing about humanity and actually was depicted as such. Some of her later moments seem cruel to an onlooker, but if you know what she is, it all made perfect sense.

Disc sales for movies outside of late night adaptions are based solely on the movie's rewatchability, and even then there is still a small correlation.
