A revolution is a bit of an exaggeration. He runs around the battlefield telling the homunculus to retreat instead of getting slaughtered by the Red Servants. Then after everything goes to hell (Greater Grail stolen, Red team retreating, fortress half-blown up from Spartacus), the rest of the Black Masters basically just say fuck it and let the homunculus do whatever they want because there's literally no point in not doing so.
