I'ts not a bad game per se, but it really isn't that good, especially compared to P3 and P4. I'm only half-way through, and it already feels like it's dragging on. The story feels predictable, the gameplay is piss easy, and they made getting social links to 10 and getting max skills way too simple. Sure it's polished to hell and back, but playing the actual games feels more like going through the motions. They also removed a bunch of school stuff, which was a large part of the appeal of the game to me.

The anime is probably going to be hot shit too, since the weakest part of the story is the characters. At worst, they are annoying, and at best they're just uninteresting. I doubt they'll be able to salvage the story either, unless they go full meme and just make the MC date all the cakes.
