Is this game fun?

The general gameplay is much like senran kagura and dynasty warriors which I'm fine with, but I got the feeling there is a fair bit of micromanagement...or something, DOn't know what I was watching but there was alot of menu work, cutscenes I can understand but it looks more than just a simple mindless brawler.

Just making sure, I like my games like my anime lately, mindless, but I can bump that up if need be if its tasteful
