Zexal was where the OPs started to weaken in my opinion, but I still enjoyed most of them.
After Arc-V's 2nd or 3rd OP, the openings just slid down in quality and never climbed back up. Even the EDs were affected by the lack of caring. Comparing the production quality of a Zexal ED to anything past that point in Arc-V is just sad

The difference is that I want to forget. Vrains so far I actually forget about for a few weeks and then play catch-up. Arc-V is actual shit, Vrains is somewhat more like a piece of hardtack without salt.

I mean it's not good and I wouldn't really reccomend any Yugioh spin-off, but I think it pulled off some of what it wanted to do better than other series. That's a vague answer but the only way to find out is watch for yourself.
Some viewers would want to drink bleach after 5 episodes, but some anons have said they were surprised by how much they liked it from the first cour onwards (and the first cour is the worst part of the show).
