If you take all the teams at the end of p5 then p4 wins easily because Yu is fucking scary.
If you take them in their prime then p3 wins because Door is OP and his death wedged SEES apart in a lot of ways along with the end of their 'mission' together.
PT is middle of the road in terms of effectiveness but it makes them a jack of all king of none. IT never really fucked up bad and SEES were extremely competent. PT doesn't fuck up too much but isn't too strong either.
In their prime SEES shits on everyone purely due to power gap (as seen by them using persona in the real world). Yu would be a major sticking point but once he went down IT would drop. PT couldn't brute strength things too well and usually weakened their opponents using meta games and would get rolled over.

The Golden anime is basically like an animated fanfiction of an underage girl with her own OC where she's constantly in the spotlight and the other characters get reduced to circlejerking to her all the time. It's also mainly about Marie's social link and the main story is irrelevant. If you care about Adachi watch his episodes, otherwise stay away from the Golden anime and watch the original one.

The first anime is pretty good. It's not amazing but handles many scenes well and Yu is an entertaining character that can carry the show even on his own.

P4 anime is a condensed version of vanilla P4.

The Golden anime basically animates the extra Golden content almost exclusively. Its basically just a gigantic side story that doesn't make sense unless you've played P4 or watched the anime.

Because Yu's a nicer guy to like. At least in comparison to Marie who's rude, even if someone doesn't care for him or like him. Also there are people who dislike how Yu is circlejerked, so for another character to be added who also gets circlejerked by the rest of the party, so that is something that could be used against her as well.

Yu is a quiet and nice person that saved people's lives, didn't reject anyone despite seeing their worst secrets and tried his best to help them overcome their issues
Marie is a loud brat that is always either angry or bored, acts like a 13 years old girl going through her rebel phase and is cunt to everyone despite their best efforts to help her, her entire arc is a repeat of Teddie's except she's even more of a special snowflake that becomes Izanami at the end and a weather forecaster because she has magical powers that can manipulate weather and can use them in real world. And it only gets worse in P4GA.

Marie, while pretty, is a rude weirdo who their leader hangs out with sometimes

The team overly praising Yu, while annoying, is somewhat understandable.
