I just finished watching the anime today and I'm wondering; Is every operation THE operation that has to succeed in the LN? Or is it like that in the anime purely because it's only 12 episodes? Eh, don't let it being an isekai turn you off from it - it's wildly divorced from the isekai formula in story telling - further it uses aspects of isekai much better than all the others. If you're defending an evil, oppressive regime, you're obviously aiding evil and then the result of your actions can't be considered good. However, it might not be evil, if you're doing it out of necessity (you'd be killed) or desire to protect someone else (your family would be killed/enslaved etc).

Well, that's the point of the story, even though she's orphan and 10 years old obviously has no family. Tanya is highly esteemed by many people and even seen as war hero.
