I'd disagree with the core premise in that a character saying mean things isn't inherently edgy. An antagonist acting antagonistically isn't edgy, you know? LWA is a children's show where no one is seriously injured, there's no graphic violence, the themes include things like "believe in yourself," "don't let cyberbullies get you down," that sort of thing. Every antagonistic character is redeemed. The show isn't edgy. On that note, Croix did do almost everything incorrectly.
