The fantasy shonen Nanatsu no Taizai (the one which has a blonde OP midget as MC) hadn't started it's manga back when the anime for this was first announced). Back then, it was supposed to be a couple of OVAs directed by the Seikon no Qwaser director (who is directing Tsurezure Children this season). But for some reason, he left the project and there was absolutely no news about it for years, until it was announced as a TV show with a new staff.

It just dropped the ball really hard after the first two episodes. A good chunk of the girls barely had any nude screen time, and when they were, we couldn't see them from good angles.

There's a scene in early QB where Leina and Risty are talking to each other and Leina steps out of the bath. We get a full view of her ass for a good period of time. Why didn't they do that here for Michael? Even Bikini Warriors had better ecchi directing than this. The nudity was alright, but the directing was subpar.

The fanservice in the later episodes doesn't go past showing naked bodies often enough and I came out of this series flaccid as fuck.

QB was in a good sweet spot. All service was really good in pretty much in the entire series, with the core cast being pretty good. Story was fine and the action was married with the nudity pretty well.

This had no idea what it really wanted to do. Directing was poor in the service scenes and the animation wasn't good enough for a lot of service scenes or the few fight scenes.

Eh. 6.5/10 (and I feel I'm being generous. Maybe a 5.5 or 6 would be more accurate). Didn't hate it as much as everyone here did. But, yes, it was very mediocre and could have been better.
Here's hoping we get some more material that's actually lewd and better than this.

This is why stuff like Seikon no Qwaser beat the ever loving shit out of most titty schlock. The extreme fanservice and plot can never be seperated because of their ridiculous premises. Magical alchemists that drink breast to fuel their powers and a feudal Japanese era meritocracy except replace "merit" with "cowtits", also asset stealing sword techniques. Compared to that, you could take the basic plot to something like this series and make a non-fanservice anime out of it. This is probably the weakest fanservice series I've completed, which sucks since I like a lot of the character designs a lot.
