I really don't understand why there are people who loved the show and even cried to it. It was a lot of wasted potential, and except for the MC the characters weren't really well developed to the point that you should care about it. Even Yurippe and Kanade's backstories seemed rushed and didn't really explain much, and they're supposed to be the main girls. The other characters were barely even touched on. About the best thing about the show was the music, but at best the show was mediocre and not the masterpiece that some people claim it is.

I'm sorry. It's just that anime's practically ruined for me now. I've watched the best anime ever and it has ruined everything for me. Nothing can surpass it, even anime and VNs I've hailed as masterpieces before just don't compare. Angel beats isn't really that great all things considered but stuff like Clannad or Akage no Anne or Ashita no Joe or whatever else that isn't coming to mind right now just pales in comparison to what I've watched about a year ago. Anything "okay" is practically crap now.

The show seemed to lack even that in some aspects. Like that ending, that wasn't really explained much. I know the point was to leave that to the viewer's imagination, but it didn't work for me in this case. There were too many characters but not enough development. As a Key fan myself, I should like the show, but it just didn't click for me.

The best anime ever is: Ojamajo Doremi. That's the name of the best anime ever. If you're going to watch it I'd recommend watching it in this order:

First season, then Sharp, Sharp's movie should be watched before episode 37 of sharp, then motto, motto's movie can be watched anywhere during motto, Naisho, THEN Dokkan. Naisho takes place before Dokka~n so it's recommended you watch it first as you want Dokkan's climax over Naisho's any day of the week. Makes the experience better.

and there you go. The best anime ever. Don't believe me? Good. Don't watch it. Your disbelief or unwillingness to watch it is the only thing keeping you from the literal pinnacle of anime. Save yourself.
