Oh god, this was boring in the beginning. I litterally had to force myself to watch the first 10 episodes. But somewhere along the way I got seriously addicted to the show. Then it ended and I was almost furious that he didn't say what he thought he should have said. I hope they make a second season. Or if it's continued through the manga I'll definitely grab those.

From what I can tell, the manga is still going. However, I'm guessing the manga is mostly based off of the LN written back in 2001. No idea how much the anime overlaps with the LN/manga.
