The last piece of Western media you consumed gets an anime adaption. What changes?
Twin Peaks takes place in high school already though.
>Lewd dangerous activities?
This is not what anime does well
>Dunkirk with lolis
Just kill me already
>Dunkirk with lolis but from the german pov
>it's also a sol
I will allow it
Yuri scene between Tricia Helfer and Grace Park.
>Dunkirk with lolis
>Rebel without a cause
Just a setting change to 70s Japan I suppose
The nips finally give it a good adaptation.
>Shantae and the Pirate's Curse
Probably gonna happen eventually, to be honest.
This is the only one so far that I can actually envision and it's making me really fucking angry for no reason.
are turks western?
>there will never be an anime with the butter lord
Why the fuck are you reading Hickman and why would you mention it? That's a terrible idea for an anime.
The last thing I read was the Kamandi Challenge which would make an excellent anime
Honestly, ASOIAF has a lot of anime elements and I could see an anime adaptation being more faithful than GoT, I even first read it because a friend told me it was similar in terms of tone, character death, and political backstabbing as my favorite anime: LotGH. ASOIAF even has own Mary Sue Beautiful Genius Prodigy Harem-like character via Rhaegar.
It flops hard because nips get confused every episode
Basement scene ruined
They could just relase 4 ovas about the journal pages.
If done correctly, it would be a 10/10
I don't remember which but it's either Halo: Ghosts of Onyx (which would be an OVA) or War Thunder airforces custom arcade games featuring eurobeat and "techniques" to rekt higher tier planes with your T3 plane.
Actually same thing.
Could be an incredible show or movie if it was done by the right people.
>Third Rock from the Sun
It's a slice-of-life highschool anime about the alien teacher's home life.
Would Japs even get their sense of humor?
I'm reading Walden again.
Honestly turn Thoreau into a cute girl and i think we're in fucking business. Emerson Nii-san is always trying to get her to play it straight, but she just wants to live in the woods eating badgers and drawing plants.
>Lord of the Rings
>It's a gay high school harem
>Sam is a trap
>Frodo is, of course, an effeminate Japanese boy
>Looks like Boromir is going to win
>It ends before we find out
>Season 2 never
>Red vs Blue
Uhh, more action and less funny?
Monty's style of action being the style of action throughout and even more extreme?
Also more then two primary female protagonists?
Then again it could be a SOL in the same vein as Kill Me Baby
.. so not much changes, really.
fuck, what was the last piece of western media what I actually consumed again?
either way, I watched the first Tomb Raider movie last Saturday, no idea what nips would change, maybe Lara is a teenager and go full yuri, or something like this
if the Dark Angels Codex counts too, then this
It was some documentary about Lenin, so I'd say SOL anime with a female Lenin, Stalin, a Dandere Tsar and other famous Russians from that era.
america new anime?
how will that work?
>a Japanese adaptation of an American show that was an adaptation of a Japanese show
I really don't know, maybe more weird ass episodes
>Hydewars episode 17
A depressed Christmas keki failed comedian who got bullies out of her career because she offended her senpai drives around and smokes ranting about getting rid of relationships that hurt her life. The Christmas keki wants to be called Cigar chan instead of Sammy Hyde.
>Halo 2 Anniversary
>Not much other than Cheif being a super melee combat fighter against Elites/Brutes
>Would watch an actual Anime Adaptation of Halo's 1-3
>war anime with a focus on strategy and politics
>everybody fucking dies
I'd be down. You wouldn't even need to change much,it already has Mechs and super-powers.
Lynch still got it. You won't be seeing anything like it on TV for at least a few years.
My only complain is that it's less focused than before. It keeps jumping locations resulting in it being set in Twin Peaks only half of the time. Lynch's character, FBI Deputy Director Gordon Cole, feels it came straight out of an anime.
>Count of Monte Cristo
>already filled with drama
>Edmond is already a bishounen
I suppose the nips would fuck up all the european locations and have Julius Caesar anachronistically in Rome. Danglars would also be gay for Edmond.
Alternatively, the vault at Monte Cristo contains a mecha and we get Code Geass.
>Can you imagine arya in anime form?
But anon, The Count of Monte Cristo has already an anime adaptation in space with mecha, it's pic related.
Honestly I really hate that anime. They completely ruined the story of the Count of Monte Cristo which was an amazing ride. At least the opening is god tier.
Well, the animation would probably (hopefully) be better. Other than that I can't think of any major changing. Maybe Ms Martian not turning into a crazy dyke but instead a domfu?
>The Wheel of Time
Not much that I can think of
It even has a harem
Now she's 10x cuter.
Walt and Jesse get entered into an international tournament on who can create the purest meth on the planet.
After his near-fatal encounter with the Salamanca brothers, Hank becomes a cyborg and is able to transform into Mineral-Cop by activating a special mineral in his belt.
A Dunkirk anime wouldn't be so bad, I suppose. It's just too bad that it would basically be a single movie or short OVA instead of a full blown anime on WW2 like if I had watched Band of Brothers of the Pacific.
Baby Driver would probably make an incredibly entertaining anime flick.
>Spawn anime by Madhouse and written by Urobuchi
Spawn's pretty fucking anime as is, so it could work.
Can't wait for cute girls on shrooms and despair
I can't decide if I like the book or not. Either way, I think the progression from high school to boot camp to being a soldier can be enjoyable in any medium really. I've heard the movie is good action schlock so I'll have fun with that when I get to it.
Heinlein aside, I'd kill for an adaptation of an Asimov novel or short story.
Starship Troopers has an animated series already
>rising storm 2
SOL of GI girls doing GI things while trying to defend C on An Lao Valley from the gooks.
Would probably come across more Initial D-like
>Did he just drift past all those cop cars?
>Hasn't seen the movie
It's fucking glorious. It's so stupid and silly, yet so enjoyably schlocky.
I mean, it takes Heinlein's praise for fascism in the book to parody levels and gives us stuff like Gestapo Doogie Howser.
>it takes Heinlein's praise for fascism
Anyone who says this clearly hasn't read anything else Heinlein has written.
I didn't say he was a fascist himself, he was just singing praises to a right-wing military state all through ST. A wonderful contrast is Stranger in a Strange Land, which is all about an alien
kindacoming to Earth and establishing a free love hippy commune.
>Total War: Warhammer
It would be a total flop in this day and age, but yes please
Throw in plenty of cute elfs, make the Lady of the Lake that Bretonnia worships a loli, make Karl Franz a loli, make all the Chaos champions in to lolis, make Orcs into big muscle girls abusing little goblin lolis and you'll sell well enough to Japs. Oh, and dorfs are lolis with beards.
But then, who gets the big breasts and fat asses? Those are also necessary.
I think people underestimate the nip's taste too much. Yeah, they like their moe but they also enjoy adventure - and there's plenty of that in Warhammer. Vermintide's general plot could easily be turned into an anime.
>the Harekaze from Haifuri in WoWS
How does this work?
Pros: Stannis is actually the Mannis, again. Dany is a dumbass who suffers losses, Jaime will be the hero we deserve rebuilding Westeros
Cons: Atheism shit will suck more (like ignoring the Faith Militant being the poor folk rebeling and Jap's hate the idea of a military force that isn't tied to a government), Bran will be a Shota, Arya will be more insufferable
Dirty sandniggers are dark elves who live on semen
Greyjoys are angry germans with strong aryan blood and pure blue eyes
Lion guys are great nippon empire who instead of being turned into laughing stocks become the greatest empire westeros has seen and heralds with it a 2000 year peace and age of prosperity
Dany is killed because she is fucking trash and nobody cares
Anime would be ruined because those manage to be less original than any anime subgenre.
They apparently animated the intro and the second season. I'd love for them to give it the Hellsing Ultimate or OPM treatment and adapt some of the more over-the-top aspects of the comic though.
Duelle (une quarantine) [Rivette, 1976]
The conceit of two supernatural entities who beautiful women involving humans in their eldritch politic struggles would fit nicely in anime, but the entire form of the film, being as it is largely improvised, would be unattainable in any animated production.
>call of duty
>battlefield 2142 eu uniforms
Perhaps Peppa occasionally becomes a gijinka in some sequences.
>american civil war anime and or manga
I legitimately have no fucking idea how this would even work. I guess de-aging most of the cast? Maybe trying to turn the rape aliens and orcs moe? I'd likely have a harem added to it somehow.
I watched that Forged in Fire show on History Channel where they have a competition to make knives and swords. I think it could work pretty well, its already pretty exciting so I think anime-style dramatization would ramp it up a notch. You could even make an isekai about some sword making kid in modern Japan who gets transported back to become a blacksmith, making swords for heroes on their adventures.
The only major change would be that all that stuff with Carlotta's ghost possessing Madeleine would actually be true, seeing as nips love injecting fantasy elements into shit for no good reason.
Also Midge would be a friend from childhood instead of just college, and instead of having a relaxed but semi-romantic relationship James Stewart would just be completely oblivious to her affections
Everything changes. For the worse.
An anime adaption of Mtg would be nice although, japs would probably adapt the planeswalkers story over of Urza's.
Iraq War with cute anime Marine Girls who are lolis
>pacifistfag more autistic than Pokemon's N kills himself and is reincarnated with an even more autistic personality
>AAAAAHHHHH SERI HELP ME IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN
>obnoxious villains BTFO
>Shota gets kidnapped by the main villain for a training arc
>edgier than katana folded over 1000 times and kills more people than Accelerator for the power of darkness
>main villain kun tries to TRUMP the election
>saved by the power of LOVE
>(Isekai arc) shota travels to a NEW DIMENSION where he enconters NEW FRIENDS AND ENEMIES
>finaru confrontation with the villains O MY DEMONIC POWERS/WITH THE PROPERTIES OF BOTH DARKNESS AND EVIL
>villains completely BTFO
>Holy shit I'm evil
>Holy shit I'm not evil
>Holy shit I'm evil
>Holy shit SHE's evil
>AAAAAHHHHH HELP ME PAULO IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN
>VILLAINS ELECTRIC BOOGALOO V2 BTFO AGAIN
>pacifistfag finally dies for real after being autistically saved from dying every time
Animu: The Book: The Experience: On Ice.
>Blood Music by Greg Bear
I'm not sure how anyone would animate an intelligent infection disease that learns and adapts, and eventually has a 100% infection rate against all forms of life which eventually reaches the point where the population of intelligent beings on the plant can only reasonably be measured in exponential notation and ultimately has to leave the material universe but not before permanently damaging the laws of physics and fucking up reality for anyone left behind, but I'd love to watch it.
You forgot to add in how the marine lolis eat crayons and glue in their MREs
The anime buffed Beppo big-time but nerfed Eugenie Danglars- that part was surprising.
Anon is still right that there is no replacement for the book
>They un-ruin Jaime
>They take the opportunity to show some battles
>Kingslayer cutting his way through an army while yelling STARK at the top of his lungs
>Jaime losing his boner for his sister after he realizes how fucked up his whole family is
A lot more boobs. phaser swords too.
>Documentary on Chiang Kai-shek
Northern Expedition anime when?
>Why are there no proper military anime?
Because anime lives or dies based on it's merchandise and realismfag military shit doesn't sell well enough in Japan to support an anime, the closest you'll get are some of the more realistic mecha shows.
It's not the 80s/90s anymore and Mamoru Oshii hates anime now so it would never be made.
Peppa Pig is the shit.
I honestly don't know. Maybe they'd change it to a space opera, Africa would be a separate planet, niggers would be perfectly white locals and the whites would become citizens of the main planet of the Imperium of Humanity or something. The plot could honestly remain the same, just switch diamonds to some sci-fi ore.
He's actually more Gilgamesh in appearance
I'm just about to finish rewatching the whole series. I'm not looking forward to the shitty last episode though. I might just skip it.
I'm sure there's an oh my god in there some where. Janice actually sounds nice in japanese though. Shit loads way to slow for me though
I find it hard to like Star Trek ever since that movie where Picard decides to deny the galaxy a cure for all disease and ageing, just because it would involve relocating 200 amish tier people who eskew technology and fetishise manual labour. He never once gave a seriously compelling reason for why he should do such a stupid thing. I remember back when Kirk would become furious as he found alien races that chose to abandon technology instead of facing the problems it brought. "Who are you to judge?" They would ask. "Who do I have to be?" was his rightful reply. Although, to be honest, I started to disagree with the series' political direction much earlier than that, back during the movie where the Klingons are made into allies and Kirk gets character assassinated into going along with it. The Klingons were a race that had literally attempted planet wide genocides multiple times in the first season, yet the writers would have us believe they have any moral right to be a "proud" race. Such bullshit.
I don't think it'll work. The Replacements is steeped in pop-culture.
>shoehorned coloured people
Have you actually seen it?
>Essendon v North
Guess it's the new sports anime of the season?
I've seen the original and prequel trilogies, of course. I did not watch the 7th movie, because of the forced diversity with that redguard stormtrooper. I was dragged into watching the spin off movie that takes place before the original trilogy. My assumptions about the series being overrun by colored people was confirmed at that point, as the movie featured literally no white people on the "good" side, besides the white female lead.
Speaking of the prequels, I think they'd pass as decent anime these days with their flashy fight scenes interspersed between long stretches of boring expostition, considering the popularity of Fate.
Gee whiz, I sure didn't know that! Picard's rigid adherance to the prime directive was on many occasions an illogical move that doomed other sentient aliens who would outright ask for his help, only to be denied simply because they weren't human. Case in point was the time when the Klingon leadership had invited the Enterprise to a ceremony to celebrate the aliiance between humans and klingons, and then the leadership came under attack from a splinter faction. Despite having the capacity to easily help the klingon leaders survive, he does nothing. Some "alliance" that was. Gee Picard, you sure did show them klingons how dependable humans are.
To answer the question I doubt much would actually change other than a more consistent tone and story. Clown/Violator would probably be a smug loli instead of a fatass clown, and Cogliostro would also be replaced with a QT anime waifu girl (likely goth loli with or without cowtits). Malebolgia would be voiced by Wakamoto, The Redeemer would have one identity and would play a bigger role, and Al would have white when not in costume like all dark-skinned anime characters do and have Akio Ohtsuka reprise the role. Considering how crazy the Spawn universe is, an anime could do a lot with the rogues gallery and have a shitload of gory and over-the-top fights. Elements and characters from the Namco and Capcom games would be used.
This would be the OP and ED: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xf4CqGHIK_E
heh, i guess you're right, Claire would become your regular tsundere for example, besides it would be hard to replace the OST, the movie it's very good in itself but the OST made it my second favorite 80's movie
>"I sympathize with your cause but the United Federation of Planets cannot take sides in [insert race name] domestic politics"
There's a reason why Picard is more popular than Kirk, his calm, think first then maybe start shooting, "Muh prime directive" by the book character is more interesting than a generic gun blazing cowboy #233412.
I'd be pretty hyped. Not only will they be able to nail the exotic looks perfectly- golden haired and green eyed Lannisters, platinum blonde and purple eyed Targaryens, Daario they will also give GRRM plenty of time to finish the books and would rather go into a hiatus than make shit up.
FUND THAT SHIT
Are we doing everything now?
Already did TV since that was the last thing
Shadow of Mordor
Talion becomes even more of an edgelord, Celebrimbor is even more obviously evil, Ratbag either sticks around forever or gets killed off in a much worse way.
ASoIaF. already covered.
So it's basically gundam without mechs.
Well it's gonna be batshit insane, that's for fucking sure
>Synopsis:Gods rule nations based on the mythologies of various RL nations, and fight it out for who becomes the "overgod". Nations include Yokai-Japan, Fae-Ireland, Undead-Rome(don't ask), and many more.
For something with an actual plot on the otherhand
Get Urobutcher to write it and we're golden.
Das Boot, I need this.
>It's just Abenobashi season 2
Das Boot basically got an abridged anime adaptation in that one episode of Black Lagoon
Something good happens in Stan Sakai's life and he actually gets the wide spread adoration and fame he desrves
>Jodorosky's El Topo
Well I guess if Anno can fit a purple laser monster somewhere...
LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT ERMOR!
So much potential for amazing storytelling. You've got empire building, space combat, genetic modifications (and genetic supersoldiers), robots, sentient AI (and AI uprisings), psionics, forces and beings from other dimensions and planes of existences, interfering with non-spacefaring intelligent life, orbital bombardments and planetary invasions, multi-species empires, megastructures like ring worlds and dyson spheres, colonization and clashing with native life on planets, purging aliens, ancient advanced yet lost civilizations, societal issues like poverty/standards of living, citizenship and slavery, class differences between species, hunger, etc, giant space monsters and more.
Knowing anime MC will be a prince to some space empire and fall in love with a space elf princess of another empire. Oh wait, that's already happened. Hopefully it'd be more like LoGH but with more sci-fi elements and less elementary tactics dressed as clever and genius.
>Red Alert 3
Can Tim Curry still be in it?
They could just probably start at a random page and stop once 20 minutes are full.
complete gender switch of all the characters, the main coders become cute anime girls, while the women become shoujo boys, also all of the technical stuff, is replaced with drinking tea
I read a biography of Peter I. An anime adaption could be fun, but the pacing would be fucked.
>Youtube dank memes
I hope you're joking, but you're probably not
>Ben and Gwen get more moments together and turn into an official couple
show now turns even better.
culture cinematic universe when
>MC is Mary Sue
>is 50, looks 20
>has magical animal sidekick
>there is hidden conspiracy trying to kill everyone
Wonder what studio would work best. It's already anime enough.
It would be a good slice of life school comedy i guess.
Showing the klingons that humans were not a useless ally when called upon would have been far smarter move than quoting a rule book to them. I liked Picard at first too, but like I said, there came a point where I was disillusioned and realised how much of a slave he was to the prime directive. He follows the directive first, without thinking, then makes an excuse and rationalisation only afterwards. The latter didn't even happen when he choose to avoid relocating 200 those squatters. He never gave an excuse beyond, "What if it was 1 million people?". He never even asks the people if they would be willing to move to help everyone in the galaxy.
And I know the reasons for his popularity more than you do, I think. Kirk was written for an America that had won WW2. A country that believed in its values of democracy, progression and universal human equality as inherently good traits that all should aspire to and be given if possible.
Picard was written for a post Vietnam America that doubted itself. One that sees countries where horrible things happen and thinks "it's their business" rather than "we can and should stop this".
Regardless of which midset you or I have, America leant towards the latter all throughout the 80s and 90s. Picard was popular because he was written to be popular, just as Kirk was at the time. Next Generation had the advantage of a bigger audience due to more people having TVs at the time, brand recognition, and because of greater special effects, so it had more fans.
It's either a harem show or an Amagami/Seiren style adaptation.
>Ghost recon wildlands
Basically jormungand minus the shota. If each cartel leader had an arc of 3-4 episodes that focused on an informant, the target themselves, or the ghost team they could probably keep it from being as repetitive as the game. Also all the team members are female and the case officer is a rude American who is always smoking and being racist to columbians.
I think I've already seen like nine anime Iron Giants.
>just started reading The Man in the High Castle
Obviously Mr. Tagomi becomes a twentysomething female who, for reasons unknown, still wears a school uniform.
