You are one of the few. Ending there is one of the few places where there's been some resolution to current conflicts, and there's a positive tone for setting out on to the next stage. They can always extend the chapter out to mulitple episodes if need be. There's no guarantee that they'll keep a consistent number of chapters adapted per episode.

I liked this ep. I am reading manga alongside the show and I'd say manga feels a bit rushed rather than anime being too slow. But considering this is likely the only season we'll ever get, it might not be for the best.

Prior to seeing the proper OP, most people were under the assumption it would end at pic related, which was reinforced by what was thought to have been an episode schedule (which I believe was false). Seeing how they handled Habo's White Whistle fanboying over Ozen with additional scenes in the anime, they might sneak that Idofront shot in in a few places: when Ozen warns them about Bondrewd, or during Nanachi's flashbacks.

If you listen to animeonly guys, even they hate it and feel nothing happened. It's not like this show is mega-popular, so mistakes like this have heavy consequences. I wish there was a better explanation of the curse. The whole 10m up thing just seems so arbitrary to me. If I were to adapt the concept, I would make it so that the curse coalesces with itself and as you travel into it it permeates your body. At the top levels, there would be very little and it's attraction to itself wouldn't be strong. Artifacts filled with its essence would direct you to where it is strong by this attraction. Delvers would stick to paths were the curse was weak to alleviate the effects of ascending away from it. Once you leave those areas or descend close to the source, the danger in retreating to formerly safe, known places would be greater. Lateral movement would even present a risk but less so than ascending.

One could also reason that the more it has permeated a person and the closer they are to its source, the greater the risk of retreat.

Guess that'll just be my head-canon.
