I'll give some stats, I'm 6'2" and weigh between 190-210 lbs. While my grip strength is phenomenal for reasons that this image of my backside might illustrate, my lats just seem to give out for pullups after about 6. I literally can do about 2-3 more by switching to narrow-grip and basically bicep curling myself but yeah.

Also, it's slowly improving since I actually have to walk down some stairs to get to work but I can reach the previous floor's overhang flooring so I make it a routine to do pullups until failure every time I go to work (no bar to grab, just flat 90 degree angle flooring).

I do pull-ups 4-5 times per week, one set per day, as many as I can until failure. The jungle gym at the kids' playground that I use, the bar is so high, I have to jump to be able to reach it, so my feet never touch the ground at any point until I let go, and I'm able to keep my body straight trough the entire process. So dead-hang all the way. Super-effective, I'll tell you.

Guys, there is this girl I want to kinda get back at me at work. I'm 183cm, 65 cm, 28 years right now. You're skinny as all Hell, dude.

Can you impress her physically? Yes, of course. Muscular gains take all that energy you've got stored and all you're eating and use it to fuel repair. You can get "swole" easily enough by lifting heavy things then putting them back down. Realistically, she won't be too impressed by "big muscles" though. She wants to see "beach bod" which is, to say, no body fat. If you reduce that body fat so she sees abdominals and doesn't see anything jiggle, that's basically what you're looking for. Having big muscles that keep growing from on that low bf% frame just makes the eye candy pop. You'll never ever be a Mr. Olympia, though, unless you use pharmaceuticals to augment your body processes to lengthen how long you can work out and decrease recovery time. Basically, without roids, you can't be "too muscular" I promise.

You need to eat. A lot. Drink a protein shake every day on top of the big meals you should be eating. If you're working out, you need to be lifting heavy weights.

tl;dr
Mostly, physically, she just wants your face to look great in pictures she wants to show off. After that, she wants your abs to be seen anytime your shirt is off, and from at least 20 feet away. But you're never, ever going to get a huge mass-gain transformation within a few months or even 2 years. That requires not only an amount of dedication it's practically your profession, it also requires drugs. So, yeah, talk to her while you're pumped, but you won't woo her unless you buy her dinner and make her laugh.

Good question! It's a comedy slice-of-life exercise instruction manga.
"Danberu Nan Kiro Moteru?" means two things:
1) Literally: "Dumbbell What Kilo Lifting?" or, when translated well, "How much can you lift?"
2) Double meaning: "Moteru" is both a word for "lifting" and "popularity". Lifting weights isn't a popular thing in Japan, but as with all women, discussing your bodyweight is. Gotta be thin and pretty, after all. So this title is asking "How Much Weight is Popular" as well as "Is Lifting Dumbbells Popular"

This manga's story is about a barely overweight highschool girl, a gyaru, who wants to lose weight before summer so she can get a boyfriend. But she's bad at it because she absolutely loves eating food. A new gym opened up nearby she thought she might try, attends a quick intro course with a perfect and flawless ojou classmate from the same school who was there coincidentally. Hibiki (gyaru) hates the weightlifting but thinks the trainer is GORGEOUS and joins, as does Akemi (ojou). So far, they learn new exercises, continue discover this new macho world together and find out they know a lot more people with a need to be gymrats for various reasons.

The manga itself, for readers, is both slice-of-life for high-school girls learning to lift weights and an instructional manga on how to properly perform specific exercises and why they work. There's chapters on weightlifts, stretching, diet, calisthenics as well as beach trips, conventions, parties, club meeting, festivals...all where they learn new techniques or apply what they know. All usually to extreme ridiculous wins or completely pathetic failures, but the advice itself is always good.
