Wait so was this all a dream or not?
>>160341087
i really hope you're joking, anon
>>160341122
why
>>160341087
tbqh i dont even know if this is bait anymore
>>160341713
I just watched it for the first time yesterday. I'm serious.
obviously it's not a dream. there's no reason to suspect it's a dream (the ending makes it pretty clear that the world turned back to normal but that kyon was "in a coma" so that the days still passed by) and, because of the sci-fi fantasy nature of the show, all of the fantastical events are certainly possible in the anime's world. it even makes SURE you know it's not a dream by having part of the events take place during the time where haruhi first meets kyon (though she doesn't know it's him) and having multiple versions of asahina and kyon from different points in time exist during the haruhi/kyon meeting and during the intervention with nagato so that way you can see how all the timelines converge.
>>160341751
dream theories rarely hold any weight. just use Occam's razor and look at what actually happened
So wait, did adult Mikuru take teenage Mikuru's time machine in Bamboo Rhapsody? And why would she do that?
>>160341751
What the fuck? Did you not see the picture they drew like a million times in the film?
It was an altered universe.
>>160342116
Yeah but why did they say Kyon was in a coma for 3 days?
>>160342167
He fell down the stairs to substitute the stabbing event.
>>160342575
Ok, so he did do the whole alternative universe thing, but to cover his tracks he also fell down the stairs in the main universe to cover the time he was missing? Right?
>>160342647
except he didn't remember falling down the stairs, remember? when they get back to the main universe they mention someone (i forgot who) mentions that it felt like kyon was pushed down the stairs by someone, though they never see who it is. it's never made clear who it was, but it's likely adult asahina or something, who knew that kyon had to be pushed down in order for everything to be the same as how it was in her future.
>>160342758
(i should add that there's many theories to this, another being that the memories are just fabricated so that kyon has a reason to be in the hospital. whatever it is, it's all just done so that they can loop back around to kyon waking up in the normal timeline).
>>160341087
It might have been a dream.
Bu this is definitely not!
>>160342890
>>160342090
Because otherwise they don't go to Nagato asking for help. This allows future Mikuru and the other instance of Kyon that traveled back to Tanabata to go to Nagato's place asking for help to restore the original world.
>>160343341
Couldn't Kyon and adult Mikuru go there without Kyon and teenage Mikuru going there?
>>160343054
GOD BUNNY GIRLS MAKE MY DICK HARD AS FUCK
>>160343378
Actually yes, they can. But they give Nagato the bookmark which contains the time coordinates to synchronize with her future self, turning past Nagato into present Nagato who can help them with the Disappearance problem.
>>160342758
>but it's likely adult asahina or something
It was actually Nagato. Novels tell us that.
>>160342826
Why are there theories about this. Literally the first like, 20 pages of Intrigues are them going back to repair the timeline shift.
>>160341087
I like the idea that misunderstanding the movie in different ways is like watching the anime in different orders.
>>160343409
Kyon is fucking lucking bastard for having his personal bunny girl.
>>160342758
>>160342826
Just read the manga if you guys can't find the novel anywhere. It explains everything.

Watch Season 3 and find out
>>160347311
What does a random classical song have to do with Haruhi?
>>160341087
No you dunce.
>>160341087
my love of this series is a dream
>>160345912
I'm late but do you have more?
>>160347408
It resonates well with the feeling of Winter / snow in which the majority of the movie takes place.
Kyoani likely chose it because it fits well with Yuki ("which means snow in Japanese").
>>160348690
No it doesn't. It's extremely out of place. Listen to more music.
>>160348642
Maybe...
