If they like Guts and the Jostars then they'll love Kenshiro.

There isn't much "powerlevel bullshit" in HnK. They explain everything with hard "rules" and the strongest man of Nanto (Souther) would have been killed in 5 seconds weren't for his meme heart placement. The main tenets are:

Hokuto Shinken is the greatest martial art
Nanto Seiken and everything else is great but nowhere near as good

The main drama is supposed to come from the drama between the Hokuto brothers. It seems like a foregone conclusion now, but nobody knew if Raoh was really going to beat Toki when they fought. What you think is "powerlevel bullshit" is just that Buronson stuck to the "Hokuto Shinken is invincible" idea and enemies who used other arts were guaranteed to lose (though they could still serve the plot in other ways)
