I am not too sure what you mean about them showing up on the same day, but there are times where the place is more crowded compared to other times, take episode 1, we see it pretty crowded. you could chalk it up to different times of the day. Still don't understand seeing as it wasn't empty when elf walked in during the episode.

Travelling between worlds is a known magic technique, but currently there are only two functional portals in Isekai. One maintained by a Sage who was one of the four legendary heroes, and the other by his Protégé the half-elf Archmage.

Going to other realms is basically not something done lightly. As far as we are aware we are sticking to this one specific Isekai, don't want to make it too much of a clusterfuck.

Real life Japan might not have any proof of alternate worlds, but this world already had recorded evidence of dimensional hopping via magic. So even though most people have no means of doing it, they have heard of it.

He is a really old client from back with the previous owner. A slave gladiator, who eventually bought his own freedom with his earnings. He has pork bowls every week because Japanese pork bowls represents victory due to its name in Japanese. He is now a legendary champion in the Colosseum..

But here is the surprise...
He was actually one of the lesser boss characters that the four legendary heroes defeated, on their way to save the world. He was enslaved after Chaos lost the war. So the old Sage guy on the other side of the restaurant is one of the four people who defeated him. No hard feelings, it was a war.

The original creation of the world is when Chaos was defeated, but basically at some point it came back and heroes went and killed it Final Fantasy style more recently. The "four heroes" event happened at about the same time as when Japan lost WW2 and surrendered. As I mentioned earlier, one of the four heroes ended up in Japan when she dealed the killing blow to the revived Chaos.
