I can't believe season 2 is actually fucking happening.
The thread exploded
Not worth watching. Ride could never be as fun the first time 'round.
Here's a Caban.
Actually I'm not sure if it's a cerulean or a buffed up wild release.
>haven't been on /a/ in over a day
What a time to be alive.
Considering what kind of phenomena it was you expect the announcement to come at end of ep12.
Can't wait to get home, wonderful news
I expect Serval to die 55 times in season 2.
But we have no ugly trannies or SJWs...
The real one looks like bullet with legs.
Don't you remember their bittersweet heartfelt goodbyes two each other? It's sad but new collab from them would be a miracle.
Regardless, they'll always be part of the OG /a/ Kemono Friends experience.
Were you not here when it first aired and the show was still a bit of a sleeper? Those two tsundere fucks were a highlight of every week.
I think you've probably seen most of their works get posted here every now and then.
>IT'S MOTHERFUCKING REAL
Just when I was just starting to wonder why I kept these threads on my highlighter. I dunno if this will save anime but I do know
it will save me.
Mirai is dead, Anonymous.
I'd personally like her to be an end-of-season reveal, but maintain the whole mystery up until episode 11 or 12. It feels like Kaban should meet her at some point, but I don't think I would appreciate it nearly as much as if it were just done in the beginning of the season.
Do not underestimate Tatsuki!
>Prove it, faggot.
I have here an accurate depiction of Anonymous. Very rare.
It's okay, Anon. It's okay to be sad.
Grey Wolf (Kanae Itou) is the best!
there could be a possibility that the sand star probably changed a few genetic properties, but I'm pretty damn shre they'll be closely related. And we also don't know how old Mirai was at the time, so there could exist the possibility of the eye defectiveness belonging to age.
Well, I can see it making sense considering that the end of a human hair follicle rich in human DNA, while also considering the fact that Kaban was made from a human strand of Mirai's hair; she could be very closely [(If not, exactly) related to her genetically
>season 2 got confirmed while I was asleep
I hate that I missed the thread when it happened but at least I had something nice to wake up to.
Well you're in for a treat then. Long before KF became what it is today, /a/ had chill niche threads for it. Among the many comfy discussions we had for it back then what stood out to people the most were the zoo-keeper/caretaker interviews every episode. So anons all jokingly wanted a documentary style show narrated by Attenborough.
And here is where the greatest love story ever told begins --- an anon particularly decent at drawing posted uncolored lineart of Attenborough patting Serval on the head which received a fair amount of praise. Soon after that was posted the second actor of our grand story showed up... another anon who was instead particularly decent at coloring things filled in the monochromatic hole the former anon left. People loved it as well.
From this point onward they will be known as drawfriend and colorfriend respectively.
In intense OC-producing fashion, drawfriend would almost always without fail post lineart about a specific Friend paired up with a fairly famous nature-related TV personality/scientist and colorfriend would follow suit minutes or hours later with a more polished/colored version of that lineart. For the entire season they would have this intimate back and forth as both anons completed each other's OC all while the threads anticipated their posts. Colorfriend - the tsundere of the two - would always complain that drawfriend made too much lineart and that he was having a hard time catching up coloring them all but he would always begrudgingly finish them all despite the bitching.
From Attenborough they moved to Steve Irwin to Jeremy Wade to Stephen Hawking to Richard Stallman to the Top Gear crew and hell they even dragged in Jamie Oliver in it with a few bonus reaction images as well as weird images every now and then. It was a grand and hilarious time when those two were around but as much as the threads enjoyed it I'm sure nobody enjoyed those times more than those two anons themselves.
What happened during their last week together could be summed up in two images. The one attached to this post, documenting a final farewell gift where drawfriend immortalized colorfriend as a prickly little loli and colorfriend bitterly finishing his work like he did with all the other before it.
Note the flower colorfriend added to the image: that is a Hibiscus, go googled what it means in the language of flowers.
How would Kemono Friends have played out if Tsuchinoko and Sand Cat were the protagonist duo?
But there's an after story to that a few hours after that image because let's be honest here there's always an actual final final act --- also captured in this image here.
As feelings rose up and the time of separation came near, they both did a final deciding spectacle of their breakup. Drawfriend posted an image that he colored himself, unsurprisingly close to the style of colorfriend, and in an act of spite colorfriend actually drew something as well. In a truly Shakespearean manner of tragedy, both of them learned from one another but in doing so doomed their dependence on each other.
Remember their story anon. For a love as pure as theirs will never grace this board ever again.
>Hibiscus, go googled what it means in the language of flowers
>perfect wife or woman
Holy shit. This story is unironically kino. How have I only heard of these two now?
Figured out where tatsuki has been the last month.
Me too buddy.
Preferably while sleeping.
Thank for the story anon. As attention-whorey of a tale it is, it was still a fun time to read their story. Here let me immortalize it further.
joy. just pure, untainted joy. i'm crying. haven't felt like this since, uh, well, since i watched episode 12. which i suppose will have to be known as "season 1 episode 12" from now on.
So, which friends are you excited for in S2?
She seemed to like it. Was all "Sugoi" and surprised that someone managed to make a poster with some of her obscure roles too. If I were to ever meet her again, I should've asked her Kemono Friends related questions.
Thank you for the story, anon. I thought I'd laugh at it because of how silly the drama was, but in the end, it did unexpectedly make me sad. Now I understand why some /kf/anons want to see the reunion of them here, I mean, I do too. Shame I wasn't there to experience the true love between them. Hope they fucked each other already.
they seem busy
I can't confirm anything
>pissing rain outside
>have to go to my shitty job later
>wake up to this
Today is going to be good day no matter what happens. I'm so fucking happy right now.
I know that Kemono Friends was a big (surprise) success in Japan and that it is also quite popular here aswell (of course, I also know about Grape-kun's love story!). But as someone who didn't watch this series when it aired back then - I dropped it after episode 1 since it looked really bad and boring at the time - can someone please explain to me what's so good about this show, aside from the cute characters (and their great fanarts)? - Is that the sole reason why it's so popular or is it genuinely a good show that's worth watching despite these subpar animations? Should I give it a second chance? I'm really curious.
Well, pretty much every feline friend Kaban can find.
Nevermind he's alive.
I asked the same questions as well, what got me hooked was the mystery of kaban, why was she there, what happened to the place she was in and what was the deal with the humanized animals?
The story has a darker undertone and near the end had a real cliff hanger, I'll say this, it won't be so edgy you'll bleed but considering the comfy nature of the first few episodes I was quite surprised.
This post isn't entirely directed at you btw, but there are curious anons who may be asking the same thing, I got hooked because of the mystery, the comfy cute animals was just an added bonus
Dropped after episode 1 because CG
Came back and watched the whole thing in a single sitting
I'm still not sure why
Stop. He's been posting revised versions of that since KF exploded.
nigger arrogantly states that he does not watch CGI but hides the fact that he is assblasted by KF's success as well
this must be the latest meme
hopefully more red fox in season 2
Ah yes, give me all the hate... a bit uncalled for, don't you think?
Thanks for giving a normal answer.
And no, not at all! Sorry if it seemd that way - I guess it was my comment about the bad animations? I'm really willing to give it a second chance - that's why I asked what everyone likes so much about it. It's just that episode 1 seemed rather boring to me back then and that's why I dropped it and now I'm genuinely interested why it is so popular - I've been wondering for some time now.
You have 10 seconds to think of a way to top the finale of S1.
Is that even possible?
Thanks for answering. Hm okay, that doesn't sound too bad actually.
It had nothing to do with the CG, let me tell you. I'm not a CG-hater... Actually, I really like Ars Nova and Ajin for example. The CG doesn't bother me at all there. Here it was the animation itself. And ok, maybe I'll do the same! Thanks.
Like I said I'm genuinely intersted to find out why it is so popular after all this. Sometimes something gives you a wrong first impression... so yeah.
Not really, but ok.
Ok, Here is your (You).
I don't think it needed a second season, in my opinion. It wrapped it up nicely on the last episode and had one of the best farewells in anime. The first season had novelty but how are you going to keep running the bad CGI joke on the second season?
Can we not call our kemonomod?
He really need to see this and clean up the mess too!
Aaaaand he mentioned the autoban word
Have fun raging about the Kemonomod
She is too busy with geimus to travel.
Thanks. And I don't want to force it either. I'm still not sure if I should watch it, but I know a bit more about it than just "cute animal girls", so for me it was worth asking here... despite all the uncalled-for hate... but yeah, this is /a/ after all. 'twas to be expected.
Your taste is so refined that you suffer physical pain and can't stop vomiting for days if you even think about watching shows that are not masterpieces, so maybe it would be better for you if you stopped watching anime altogether. Why risk it? Find a better hobby if you can't form your own opinions.
Vol1-3 featured BD sales that terrorized the stalker threads like mad
Vol4 featured Grape-kun and his happy ending
Vol5 is S2 announcement that sent everyone's hearts aflutter
This is getting better and better. i just can't imagine what glory awaits on the final volume.
Anyone who can guess what glorious message Vol6's cover shall herald?
Komodo dragon. If shes anything like in the game I might have found my kemowaifu
Ahh not at all, my friend. You wouldn't believe how much fun I have with a lot of "trash animes". That got nothing to do with "refined taste" at all. It's all case-by-case... Like it or don't like it... but like I said sometimes a first impression can be wrong, too. So there is no harm in asking other what they liked about a show that you initially dropped. Never heard of reconsideration? But yeah, I guess everyone just jumps at me because of the "now that it's popular he wants to get in on it, too"... well, sorry for being curious.
I literally posted it that we are going to be raided again. I posted it and boy do I enjoy their suppressed rage
the professors probably made it based on Serval instruction
>it looks like giant bucket that float
>ok that will be 20 curry plus snacks
>Kaban discovers what her father was hiding in the basement
Purge? They still have threads every so often.
And it's not like mods can do anything about people talking about a series that originated (in its popular form, at least), from anime for a long time, unless they want people to hate them even more. Using "but it has a game now!" as an excuse to banish a series of threads that still get plenty of people participating in them would be outright stupid, especially given the S2 announcement.
KC still has season two incoming and the threads in /a/ now are restricted mainly to translated stuff. I used to browse the threads before local translator decided to make themselves scarce because shitposters kept pestering them. Somehow they moved to /jp/. Must be the mod doing stuff.
Is anybody else excited to see how a Kaban/Serval/Fennec/Arai dynamic is going to play out in S2? (It's almost certain that at least those two are on the bus with Serval)
That picture makes me very happy.
What seiyuu cameos are you hoping to see in Season 2? I think they can go a bit higher profile now.
Who will voice Tibetan Sand Fox? Giant Penguin? Komodo Dragon?
They've always had threads both here and on /jp/, but that dumb mod incident from late last year made moderation (and shitposters) more aggressive towards them, so now their threads tend to get deleted if there's nothing about translated content in the OP.
Banning KemoFure would not only be stupid but also be proof that mods care more about the opinions of vocal shitposters than /a/'s well-being, so I hope we don't ever get to that level.
As long as PePaPu aren't with them too then it'll be good.
I'm hoping that other anon is right though and somehow they get separated. Two's company but three's a crowd.
There might be a chance PPP (and special cat) is with them, they can use wanting to go on tour as an excuse. They would probably separate as soon they reach land and show up in a later episode. They need to fit in a PPP episode somehow.
I want a PPP episode just to get Margay again.
How does that work anyways? Did they just email-bomb a bunch of zoos requesting them to contribute an info clip to an animated TV series? Do you think they got paid for it or just did it on a volunteer basis? Most of the clips sound like they were done over the phone, even the Japanese ones.
My only conflict is that I can't wait to see new Friends but I still love all of the old Friends so much and want to see them in different scenarios. Maybe they'll cycle through whoever is Kaban and Servals buddy this week when they meet a new Friend.
>yfw it could be 2cour
Now I'm wishing that guy who did the Fennec/Arai Hollywood pictures did a Waterworld one.
Either way anon, the first season format was fairly "meet them once and then move on" when it came to the characters. We all loved Toki but nobody was sighing about how they missed her during subsequent episodes.
Eh, One Piece is a Sunday morning anime. Same goes to Dragonball Super and Monster Hunter Stories (it's crap, but continuity heavy). Not every morning show is extremely episodic.
We already knew S2 was happening. Where's 12.2?
You might be one of those who caused Tsurai.
Not that I hate it.
suck my dick joyboy.
i tried a resize+crop but my windows ended up covering too much of the main part of the image
so i then tried blurring the edge out instead, which means i can still see serval and kaban, with browser window on the left
i guess this'll have to do until something better appears
>If you have to eat someone, eat me
>Ah you two can relax too
>I have to act leader-ish in front of my pride, is all
>We'll take you up on that
>You guys are funny
I know they're being well taken care of but I feel sad seeing animals press against the glass like that. They don't know why there's something stopping them from going outside, they don't know where they are, and they're just stuck in one spot with nothing new to see but human faces.
Hope she will tag along with in S2.
There is a serious lack of giraffe fan art.
So, if we're getting a S2, does that mean we're gonna get to find out what the fuck happened between Serval and Mirai?
Will we finally see how Serval FUCKING DIED?
I was disappointed with the animal diversity in S1
We only got 2 reptiles, and no fish, amphibians, marsupials or insects.
I see in that pic there's at least more reptiles and at least some kind of water Friend, but I want less mammals and birds in general.
Can insects become friends? Bugs can be cute, right?
I just realized that even if the PPP aren't on the bus they could easily reach the second island by swimming, one of them could even carry Margay on their back (which I'm sure she would greatly enjoy).
