They've both made big progress on their issues though. Shirogane's issue isn't that he's aiming too high or untalented- he excels at everything he puts the effort into, and he certainly is good enough for her- it's the fact that he's absolutely terrified of letting Kaguya see any weakness or realize he's not perfect. So him telling Kaguya that he can't do anything on his own and accepting that making her confess isn't really important are both huge steps for him. He's started shedding the mask that was never needed anyway since it wasn't why Kaguya loves him. On Kaguya's end, sure, she still her social issues, but she's overcome the Shinomiya teachings enough to tell Kashiwagi that she was in love and wants to stay with him forever. And Shirogane's fully aware of her flaws- he even acknowledged it during the massage a couple chapters ago. At this point they're both fully aware of what the other's like, and love each other for it- it's just their own insecurities they have to overcome.
