Name an anime that wasted their potential more than Gunslinger

Last Exile. First season one of my all-time favorites. Second season had some intriguing ideas, but all the interesting stuff took a back seat to cute girls doing cute things in the air. And that ending, holy fuck.

Zero realisticity. Little girls turning into cyborgy mind-slave and serving as killer agents is as far as the depth of the plot can go.
Also, no philosophical theme that is within the conventional academic frame was present in this crap show. Dick-hard characters brewing with male hormone looking at little girls who do anything as what you tell them can only pass as a cheap SEA kiddie porn.

Coyote Ragtime Show had potential, the first episode was unforgettably awesome. Then it just became gradually less memorable with every episode.

Was the tone change of season 2 happened in the manga too, or it was just because the studio changed?
I felt the two terrorist were more interesting when we hardly knew anything about them. Season 2 seem tried to flesh them out but instead made them boring and less competence.

and in the manga it starts to focus on different characters but they wanted to keep it on the girls from the first season, so you get crap

The manga is horribly sad and pisses me off to this day, i have never wanted a generic happy ending more than i did with gsg

Angel Beats. An interesting premise, likable characters, and good music, all ruined by rushed development, poor pacing, and underdeveloped characters. It should have been two cour.

Ditto for Charlotte, but Charlotte was arguably worse considering they still managed to mess up despite having only four main characters. That and that the last episode should have been two episodes or more at the very least.

While I admit Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon S2 was great, Spice and wolf S2 kind of feels like they're trying to re-advertise something that's already had enough promotion from the first season alone, so I ended up just reading the novels instead.

Maybe I just like the action scenes in Horizon more or something.

really wish for more Horizon if only because it is such a different experience to reading a painstaking description of each minute detail of an encounter in the novel to seeing it play it fluidly in the space of a few seconds in the anime.

I fucking loved the first season of Gunslinger girls, it was so damn good. But season two was so different it was jarring. It felt like a completely different series. Henrietta and twintails were cute though.
