I like movie 7 because of the atmosphere. The antagonist is a self absorbed nerd that doesn'T understand he is not a threat to the world or Strawhats and everyone in the movie besides him knows it.

Strong Wolrd is a big proof that Oda should stick to manga. Chapter 0 was incredible though.

Film Z is great. Made me more invested than the either Fishman Island or Punk Hazard. This movie really helped considering how long it took Oda to get back in shape.

Something having an in-universe explanation is not the same as something thematically making sense, Luffy's power is rubber, not fire. And I don't know where you live, but if your air is flammable I would call the gas guy.

Also, the firestorm in the anime is always incredibly large which just makes it seem like Luffy has fire powers, while the hit usually comes across as really weak, and the slow pacing of the show forces his hits to be slow aswell, so it all feels really weird. Why didn't his fists burst into flames in his fight with Bruno? He seemed much faster there.

Antagonists having no chance has kinda been a running theme in One Piece fillers since the timeskip. The only villain who gave Luffy trouble was that long arm guy working for Z and that made no sense at all.

Sabaody itself is an entire arc introducing characters that would be important for literal years to come. There's no possible way that Oda didn't already plan out their future in the story, even if it wasn't complete at the time.
Every Supernova, minus Bonney as of now, is important to the story at this point in time. They were all present for the first time in recent history/ever that someone punched a CD. They were all present at Marineford to see the aftermath, then they all went to the New World and started dealing with the Yonkou in their own ways.

Everything about the Impel Down part of Strong World's story and Shiki's background is canon. The rest is uncertain.

Strongworld, Z and Gold are considered to be what-if stories that include canonical characters/settings. They're pretty decent as well though Gold falls off sharply in quality about half an hour in.

As for the other films, 4 - Dead End Adventure - feels the most like an actual OP arc condensed and has a fun premise, good side characters. Though the villain is just a Crocodile clone.
6 - Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island - is regarded by many as the best OP movie for it's unique art style, mature theme and dark climax. It's probably the best stand alone movie you could show to someone who has never seen the series.

The rest are just generic movies for the most part. Cursed Sword is pure Zoro fanfiction, Clockwork Island is alright and Giant Mechanical Soldier has good fanservice. There's also two movie adaptions of the Drum island and Alabasta arcs respectively.

Moria and Crocodile were both rookies who had flunked out of the New World after having their hopes and dreams smashed by the Yonko. So they fucked off back to paradise to laze around trying to use handicaps to compensate for their weakness. Croc wanted an Ancient Weapon, Moria wanted undying zombie soldiers.

Croc probably lost his hand and got the scar on his face because he was a shitter who relied too much on his logia fruit, instead of learning his lesson he just downgraded to a part of the sea where nobody had Haki. Hopefully he'll show up in the New World with a new lease on life, it'd be great to see what kind of damage Daz Bones could do if he got full-body haki like Vergos.

Basically all the fight in the new world weren't connected to traveling from island to island. It's kinda hard to explain, but, if the events that were happening at the time they were at all the island the Mugiwaras go to, they could just go from one island to the other without any fights. Hody's plan wasn't to stop Luffy and co from going further, neither was Doffy's or Big Moms. Theoretically if another crew was behind the Strawhats they could easily stroll without having any fights?
