He can but he'll die, as he is Tsuki with no training in the use of his eyes. If he trains more and becomes Satsujinki after his eyes overpower the mystic eye blockers then he could likely easily do it. Shiki just has a harder time dealing with concepts and abstract stuff. Shiki on the other hand is bad with objects and people, but can easily see phenomena such as when she cut the twisting of Fujino.
