Which was better, Boku dake ga Inai Machi or The Butterfly Effect?

The Butterfly Effect and it's not even close. Exact same type of story, except the latter did it better in every conceivable way.
>>
The anime?

Bokumachi was garbage

They both do though.

Both aren`t good. Bokumachi had an an interesting first half and crap 2nd half. And I am not referring to the ntr. It`s like the author was trying too hard make an unpredictable ending and ended up with a really dumb conclusion.

Butterfly Effect also has demented writing with super plotholes that don`t make any sense.

Bokumachi was a very good series overall if you ignore the dumb conclusion (I'm talking about the roof top bs).
Butterfly only had an ok first half. The ending was just dumb edgy shit. Those who rated it highly were probably young at the time and were easily impressed.

For morons like yourself, sure.

There was literally no reason, purpose or logic for the MC's ability to go back in time. On top of that, it's just a shitty save the girl from the bad guy story.
>>
I liked the characters in Bokumachi better, but at least Butterfly Effect had a consistent set of rules regarding the time travel. Bokumachi's time travel mechanics being "lol whatever" really undermined a lot of the plot.
>>
>>160088234
In BE it was at least his own choice.
>>
>>160087548
Both are pretty shit, but the butterfly effect didn't end completely retarded at least

BFE by a landslide.

Only if you are talking about DC ending.

>>160087548
People always say that the NTR doesnt exist because he was never interested, well that's what cucks say. The show literally wasted my fucking time. At leadt in butterfly effect he tried to change things around. (Would end up succeeding depending in the ending)

When will "cuck" finally be an instant perma ban on /a/?

Of course I am

Haven't seen Bokumachi but

That's what interested me about Groundhog day. I'm so used to convuluted explanations about why the character travels through time. But the weatherman never even gets that, caught me off guard.

boku dake was last year best anime and a total masterpiece and i feel sorry for the elitistsfags who cant see that
>>
>>160092806
elaborate on why it's a masterpiece.
>>
>>160091766
It works for Groundhog Day because it's a character driven comedy. The whole film is defined by a sarcastic Bill Murray stuck in a day he hates and it's funny. When you're trying to write a serious-natured story, it's better to have coherence in how everything works.

It's pretty obvious the author of Bokumachi watched The Butterfly Effect (it's the exact same type of story), but dumbed everything down, probably because he didn't actually understand the themes the film explored. With that said, Bokumachi still appealed to the younger audience because they're stupid and think it's deep.

Thank you for proving the fact that Bokumachifags are retards.

Isn't NTR Machi just the bad ending route for Butterfly Effect?
>>
>>160087624
They're entirely different types of stories you retarded samefagging op. One is about the changes that occur from a small change to the past, the other is some guy trying to stop a murderer with no consequence to the future until he gets iced
>>
>>160094068
No? Did you not watch the movie?

The bad ending is the actual ending you stupid idiot. Not to mention there are several bad endings.

Yea you are retard glad you realized there was no way to defend your original post
>>
>>160094638
No need, because you're clearly a moron denying something plainly obvious.

They're exactly the same type of story, except one is more complex and intelligent than the other.

What a dumb thread. Should've at least compared BE to S;G.

this

But the faggot knew S;G would be considered better by a longshot
>>
>>160095691
Steins;Gate is still worse. Also it's only similar in the second half.

faggot keeps bumping his own thread stop responding and he'll get bored

Watch the movie.
>>
>>160087548
The Butterfly Effect clearly.
