Light died in both anime and manga so I don't see the difference.

Don't tell me you're one of those people who think "person dies" is all there is to a story. The context is way different
>>160082069
Considering how many spoilerfags are on /a/, yes people here genuinely think a character's death is the thing that a visual story hinges on

fpbp
A reminder live-action DN is the only good live-action film.

Manga ending has Light beg Ryuk to kill everyone and when he starts to write in his Death Note he thinks he won but then Ryuk reveals he wrote Lights name down. He then cries like a bitch before dying. Anime ending just has him run away with no one really caring and then he dies.

Not to mention the way the anime frames his final moment in a way that makes it look super tragic while the manga just has him go out kicking and screaming in front of the task force. The manga also had a denoument while the anime just stops.

One thing that always bothered me about it is when Light touches the fake notebook in the end he's able to see Ryuk again, even though it's not the real Death Note.

I'm bummed they cut that speech Ryuk gave to Light about how the reason users of the death note don't go to Heaven or Hell is because there is no Heaven or Hell.
