I want to write an isekai too, but I'm still in the plot outline stage, and trying to come up with a proper story for my world. I'd like to make a mix of RtW + A Hero's War that focuses on kingdom building - starting as the ruler of a small town, slowly conquering neighboring lands before forming a kingdom and eventually an empire. And unlike RtW I wouldn't have MC just recreate Earth tech, but trying to mix Earth tech + magic like the A Hero's War MC does.

More isekai writers should be unique when it comes to approach. For example, Isekai Ryouridou makes itself stand out through the worldbuilding and lore of tribal hunters and gatherers. It's not just nippon food wanking like other isekai cooking series and manages to stand out through worldbuilding and somewhat believable interpersonal relationships. Who likes multiple long chapters about manufacturing condoms? Also in depth explanations about everything. The MC has a habit of going on long random tangents in exquisite detail. It does actually deal with serfdom in a much more intelligent way than most series do in that it actually exists. There are STDs and other diseases along with other medevial problems. So story actually has many interesting world building elements from the way magic functions to how their society is set up, but it's all buried underneath a mountain of worthless verbiage.

I tried my best to somewhat mimic the style, but I wasn't wordy enough.

not that anon but while Rudeus's tale did end the author is still continuing the story. He finished the the Laplace prequel a few months ago called: (古龍の昔話) Old tales of the Ancient Dragon. Though small its a must read if you like MT since it explains a lot of details from the main and sets up the story for the future events. Has like 23 chapters and its already rising its rank incredibly fast already at 710th place when it was in like 1000's

He also united all his Mushoku verse WNs including the main under 六面世界の物語 Which means he'll be focusing on the bigger picture from now. There's also definitely going to be a sequel including the Hitogami arc since we still don't know much about him even after the prequel.

You know I could buy the summoning thing, like for example, if they were summoning spirits and God's and monsters, like you know, summoning tends to be used for in stories, where you summon a being that is naturally more powerful than a human, in order to get them to fight for you who is weaker than whatever you are summoning (naturally otherwise why would you summon at all). However it's starting to get very silly when the summoning grabs random little nobodys who are simply human and then for some reason grants them a cheat.

It did gave you the illusion that the MC tried to better himself especially slowing down his antics and becoming more like an adult, basically an illusion of mental growth which is absent in most WNs at that site. I'll give it that. Also the guy at least tried worldbuilding instead of leaving it out and made pretty good side characters with much better personality and traits compared to the MC. Those characters and their arcs really carried the whole thing for me.


It is also effective since it tried somethig with the harem none of the predessors at narou did with the polygamous family bullshit. Usually other harems end at that point but not MT, that guy didn't give a fuck and even had him make children and wrote and extra WN from his wife's sons perspective describing their lives and shit. He can definitely gouge what the readers of that website want the most.

It probably also helped that reading it doesn't make you kill yourself and the battle scenes were decent at the very least. It had everything in it, adventure, SOL arcs, battle arcs, family arcs etc overall top quality in the pile of junk that is Narou and managed to pull in different types of readers.

Speaking of royalroadl, I checked a handful of novels on there and found that Savage Divinity was pretty good. It took me a week to binge read it. It's the author's first work, but he managed to nail characterization and keep the quality of the storytelling almost constant up until now(230+ chapters).

Speaking of NTR, this novel was great chikyuu-tenseisha-no-koroshikata, too bad author discontinued.

It's a story of a fantasy world having it's balanced tipped off because of heroes existing and destroying other races aside humans, because their god is an elitist god. The other god summoned MC to regain the balance, in order for the heroes to fall, their story must fail, hence MC used the idea of destroying the heroes' harem so that their story would fail. He then goes to a NTR adventure.
