Why?

Maybe it tastes really good.
>>
Why not?
>>

MC is a Superior Nipponese Cook in an Isekai setting. Everything he makes tastes fucking amazing. Wouldn't you want to try the entire menu?

He is getting his own short story for sure, as it was in book 1.
But it needed to happen a bit later in the anime, because after his story he ended up not showing up for a month or two.

I do the same thing in restaurants I go to often. The first few times I try out a bit of everything, but after that I usually just order the dish I like best.
>>
>>160029659
why is this getting an anime before isekai izakaya nobu
>>
>>160032761
Probably because this one has dragons, elves, demons, and IIN only has corrupt nobles and a shit ton of peasants, and slight NTR.

what? i dont watch this shit show. most restaurants sell shit like wings wednesday, steak thursdays, etc for the daily special. if he buys the same thing every week, its likely the shop just has it on sale that day every week.

Ordering the samething over and over is normal. That's why you have people ordering "the usual".

Said restaurant only opens once a week thanks to a door that randomly appears in some of a few set locations. Why not eat the thing you love when you're lucky enough to find it?
>>
Did the chef ever tell them that all those wonderful dishes are actually considered commoner food?

But the next thing you try might be even more delicous and you just haven't found it cause you got stuck in the poison that is habit.

It's not unusual to always order "the usual".
What's odd is that ALL of them do this. To the point that the patrons know each other by the name of the dishes they order.
>>

>>
It's not bad but thus far it felt like an inferior Shinya Shokudo, with Isekai element thrown in just to make it different. In Shinya Shokudo each customer's back story is tied into the dishes they ordered. In Iseikai Sokudo they just kept coming back and ordering the same thing because that's the first thing they tried.
It's enjoyable thus far, but it might get old very quickly.

Chef is an average pleb cook who runs a shitty western diner that happens to be """good""" because everything else in the other world taste like ass. Lets see what's he's made:
>beef stew
>a basic breakfast with toast
>minced culet
>fried shrimp
>spaghetti (served with Kraft cheese, not even the luxury of shredded parmesan)
>ice cream sundae

No significant variations on any dishes too, he's just a regular cook who knows how to cook basic dishes. He's a boring character who makes boring dishes and is NOT special.

I dunno about anyone else, but as far as I've seen, parmesan cheese is usually shredded into a powder when sprinkled on spaghetti and the like.

>any fucking restaurant outside of the US

Allow me to doubt. US food products are well thought and known to be fake and unhealthy. The pepper sauce is an actual product, so I'd think the cheese to be as well and that's not a Kraft food package.
>>
>>160043480

>>160043714
Gee, it's almost like they should inform the customer of the existence of the cheapest possible anti-clumping ingredient, wood pulp, in the "cheese", instead of claiming it's 100% authentic cheese.

>it's almost like they should inform the customer of the existence of the cheapest possible anti-clumping ingredient, wood pulp, in the "cheese", instead of claiming it's 100% authentic cheese.
no, they 100% should put that shit in the ingredient list. I'm not defending their actions, but I'm just saying that their parmesan cheese isn't fake cheese like their processed cheese slices. Now those are fucking gross

So, who is this guy really?
>>
>>160044140
>So, who is this guy really?
A big time General of an army, who got shipwrecked on a desert island for 20 years. He had plenty of money on him but no way of letting anyone know where he is. (he doesn't even know where the island is himself)
He only kept up his will to live because he found the door on the island early on. The rest of the week he lived a hunter gathering lifestyle. His story started when he was finally rescued, and he had his final meal at the restaurant before going home. He was sad to be rescused because he wasn't sure if he would ever get to find another door again.
Months later another restaurant regular found him and told him there is a door near where he currently lives.
>>
>>160044632
thanks for the info
>>
I used to do it as well. Especially for a backalley resto I only got to visit once a week.

Sure I maybe tried some other dishes for the first two weeks or so but after I found my favorite I just went with it every time. Habits are hard to break man especially food-related habits.

You know I used to think and wonder. Why is the Chef MC not a rich dude? His other worldly patrons literally pay him either gold and or silver coins, which in our world of Earth, gold and silver is now very valuable and can get rich with it.

Why is the chef living such an average lifestyle? Why's does he not look rich with all the gold and silver he's paid with? Then I realized that either the Chef MC is a simple and non opulent person but does keep all the precious gold and silver he owns secret and would never become a poor person. And at the same time he's aware that if he starts flaunting around all that gold and silver coins he's paid with, Japan's equivalent of the IRS would get awfully suspicious as to why a middle-class chef guy gets that much fucking gold. So the Chef MC keeps his gold hidden at best and does occassionally has it exchange for big bucks.

Am I the only one who thinks of it that way?
>>
