Type Moon announced the Tsukihime remake in 2008 and all they have shown since is some new character art and a new main theme. What went wrong?
>Fate becomes more popular and Nasu decides to change its image with Extra and CCC
>Mahoyo gets reworked into a VN
>Apocrypha game gets rebooted as GO
>Takeuchi tells Nasu that he needs more time to redesign Arc
Fucking Subterranean Animism came out in 2008
Type Moon should be ashamed of themselves
It sucks since Tsukihime is actually good unlike the garbage that is the Fate franchise.
Type Moon would rather milk the Fate cash cow so they're not gonna want to spend time on Tsukihime. The manga is pretty much perfect so at least we have that.
Tsukihime remake means making a Sacchin route. Heaven's Feel already used all the plot threads that were intended for it, and then the UBWfags started bashing the fuck out of it for being too mature for them, so it's no wonder Nasu was reluctant to work on it.
Sakura literally is Sacchin with some Kohaku traits added.
There's going to be Zepia in the new Case Files.
>Tsukihime remake comes out
>multiple anime spawned going over a few routes
>Hisui's is never adapted
Stop this nightmare reality. Solvable meaning.
>2015 was the last time we got more than the same image and new information
>2016 was Fate/GO all the time.
On one hand, Hisui's route is easily the best. On the other hand, Hisui is also the least popular Type-Moon heroine.
>Hisui is also the least popular Type-Moon heroine
Which is quite odd since she's Takeuchi's favourite, and Take's fav usually gets pretty high up in popularity polls
>ne ne nasu-kun want to finish Aoko's game?
>ANSWER UNCLEAR, ASK AGAIN LATER.
>Roa got her before Shiki
>drinks the fluids of other men
>happily kills civilians and plays with their corpses
>Hisui is also the least popular Type-Moon heroine.
Every day I learn something that convinces me more and more that everyone in the world has shit taste except me.
I have always loved the tsuki characters but this new art makes them feel stale as fuck.
I especially hate Ciel's redesign. She doesn't feel special at all anymore
More like Takeuchi is busy creating more Sabers and fapping to his blonde waifu
And there ain't nothing wrong with that
>Anime is more popular than ever in the west
>Tsukihime remake is insanely popular
>12 year olds start getting Melting wall. Solvable meaning. Self who can explain. Smoothness of changeable permeability. Transitioning time. Observation life and execution function. A pinky-less hand. Headless eyes. Rolling carpet. Once. Twice. Three Times. 777 cages. Burst balloon. Unfulfillable promise. Unprotectable law. Death contract. Poison and honey. Red and afterbirth. Mercury lamp and bug light. Light refracting to countless dimensions. Swimming fish, singing at the ocean bottom. Tools, tools, tools. Towards endlessly reproducing stars without meaning, without will. Better than wishes. Another only me. Unraveling deep sea. Contradictory that appears from microscopic organisms. Detailed view of a quark. Rejection of everything. Formless form. An embryo within a hearse. I curse and celebrate their existence. tattooed on their chests
And he gets money for doing it. Why is life so unfair?
>Takeuchi gets paid a ton fuck of anime dollars for doing something he enjoys
He's literally living the dream
I was more referring to the change in hairstyle, which makes her feel especially generic.
While her original haircut might look odd by today's standards it does make her stand out
But Sakura actually hangs with and has a familial relationship with Shirou. Satsuki, cute as a button that she is, is general crush who hardly hangs with him.
Sakura and Kohaku share the abuse in their backstories, but it's for different reasons and different situations. Kohaku was there to calm the blood of demons, and Makihisa was basically retarded to give the girl he was going to abuse the equivalency of a doctorate, plus Akiha gave Kohaku and Hisui pension plans such that they could do whatever they wanted with their lives now with Makihisa gone. And he didn't really make it that hard to kill him since he kinda of let the girl he abused learn about poisons from a guy who is the doctor for demon hybrids.
While Sakura was made into an experiment, Zouken wasn't retarded in making sure he hosed a girl with great potential and gimped her powers for years. And having a sister who followed her retarded riverboat gambler daddy's mindset to a T, and an adopted brother who is abut as retarded as you can get, despite people saying he was fairly smart. She had no good ways to get out of her situation.
Totally different situations. I'm surprised people would even compare the two, and I like both. I guess you could say that Fujino, Kohaku and Sakura are similiar in that it's making a statement that being special kinda sucks in this world unless you are specifically safeguarded.
If your penis can reach the very end of it, it's tight enough. Overly tight ones are just painful. What you want is one that's loose and easy to enter at first, but tightens while you're doing it.
>If your penis can reach the very end of it, it's tight
>If your penis can reach the very end of it, it's tight
Anon, think about what you said for a second
>Emiya "the Jackhammer" Shirou felt a semblance of tightness
>pussy filled with countless worms
Is that the best she can do? Even though she padded her gaping blackhole?
I fucking love this site
If that were true, all mothers would be loose as all hell after childbirth, and that is about as wrong as can be.
Also, while she was experimented upon, the "worms in her vagina thing" wasn't really truthful after the "initiation" process, they are in between her muscles and internal organs. Otherwise she would have issues going on during school checkups and such.
But getting back on topic, "tightness" is often a factor on how active (and she is currently very active being a president/member of a sports club) you are and what you originally had, as the vagina often just goes back to what it was after being "stretched out" without much sex. Tips for all you doujin warriors who want to make your girl's hoo ha take the shape of your dick, you'll have to keep that up indefinitely.
She could very well be a virgin, since she materialized as a Servant in the form that did not yet get raped by ancient Shinji. Unless she used to have her way with the people that invaded her island before she killed them, I dunno.
>being this delusional
Medusa literally became Medusa because she got raped. Also, pic related.
Why are people still acting like this will be comparable to the original? It's clear as day this is only going to justify Arc and other DA appearing in other works. I doubt we'll see anymore of the franchise if this releases, and people will probably shit on any changes to the story.
this is about as much effort as i can muster
To be honest I don't know anymore what people mean when they say that one character looks like another. I had trouble enough with Arc because I could never confuse her even at a glance with Arturia but this is even worse. I just don't see it.
If you look hard enough all the characters look alike because 80% of the differences come from the hair and clothes.
Type-Moon is dead.
Their best work was KnK. Both in text and anime forms.
What's wrong with it?
Nah, you faggots kill yourselves for your shit taste.
FSN is badly written garbage with an extremely annoying Gary Stu MC. Having Shirou pull powerful magical swords out of his ass because he ""imagined"" them despite knowing almost no magic a couple days ago is in no way good writing. It's shit writing meant to appeal to teens who care more about what looks cool rather than what is well written. Tsukihimes powers make more sense and at least Tsukhime isn't riddled with asspulls. The concept of FSN is great but badly executed and wasted on teenage characters and their teenage drama.
The truth must hurt but FSN is absolute garbage meant to appeal to the lowest common denominator.
>It's shit writing meant to appeal to teens
Next thing you'll also claim that OHKO eyes are chuuni as shit.
Who could have thought Nasuverse was meant for chuunibyou edgelords, I always thought a God-killing sniper rifle was pretty tame!
F/SN wasn't bad at first but Nasu repeatedly expanding the increasingly flimsier premise from "some podunk-ass backwater Holy Grail summoning ritual nobody really cares about" into "What if we summoned twice as many servants and made it into a team-based grail war, oh and one team are nazi vampires" and fiinally into "THE FATE OF THE WORLD DEPENDS ON CHALDEA USING THE GRAIL TO GO BACK IN TIME TO CORRECT THE TIMELINE DISTORTIONS CAUSED BY THE TEMPORAL IMPERIAL ARMY." okay, that might actually be the premise of the gay swords fujoshow, but it's still pretty similar.
Did I hit a nerve? Meant to appeal to teens in that it looks cool. Style over substance. Should've clarified.
Tsukihime is also meant to appeal to teens but at least its well written. FSN is not well written at all.
>but at least its well written.
>"what if Kokutou had Ryougi's super special eyes?"
The only thing arguably good is KnK and even that is meant for teens, it's not like we expect a new Shakespeare or something.
Come on, anyone would laugh if you actually said "what if King Arthur was a teen girl who knows how to suck cock?"
Don't pretend to be hot shit when you're only stating the obvious.
No, her time to shine will definitely come.
But her story is actually nicely told in the brief section she has
I liked that he had to carry the weight.
But what about the mysterious route that leads to Melty Blood?
That's what everyone kept saying which is why I read it. I only finished the Fate route yesterday. It was pretty mediocre but better than the Ciel route in Tsukihime, I'll give it that. Took me a month to finish the whole thing because it was so bad. The beginning with Rin was really good and it did have its moments but overall it was pretty shit. Shirou pretty much ruined it and having a bunch of teenagers running around for the grail is just downright retarded.
>That's what everyone kept saying which is why I read it.
>I only finished the Fate route yesterday
So you didn't read it.
The other two routes no, but since I'm sure Shirou will be white knighting and pulling swords out of his ass again I can tell It'll be shit.
A lot of people do, surprisingly. I've seen tons of people in /a/ praise it as a masterpiece.
>Shirou isn't allowed to pull shit out of his ass
>I am the only one with that privilege
What the fuck is an objective masterpiece?
>I've seen tons of people in /a/ praise it as a masterpiece.
>lying on the internet
So I am only allowed to judge something If I read it all? Are you telling me that everyone who hates one piece has to read it all otherwise they can't criticize it?
I've already been spoiled about everything else that happens, and reading the fate route itself is already 1/3 of the story. Even if it is the weakest part of the story there are many plot elements that won't change.
Sabers goal in getting the grail is retarded, shirou is plain retarded and his asspull powers will cary over. Knowing more about the other teenagers won't change much either. At this point it should be easy to tell if its shit or not.
I have no idea. But the "stop liking what I don't like" people seem to think there is such a thing as objectively bad and good VN/LN/manga/anime so ask them.
I'm pretty sure that in Fate worlds it's Sialim(the director who made Rani from Extra) that's alive and Sion died in pre-birth or something.
>he keeps making up new excuses
Just fuck off. It's embarrassing.
I'll stop pretending it doesn't get praised when you stop pretending you know what you're talking about, secondary-kun.
>b-but it gets praised!
What the fuck even is your point? It gets praised because it's good. Why are people acting like praise is some humiliating thing? This is some tsundere shit.
Look for yourself. There are people memeing but there are others who are being serious. And that's with only those key phrases. You're more then welcome to look for others.
He's conflating people saying they liked it with people stating it's objectively good(which doesn't mean anything). His original point was that he was coerced into reading it because people told him it was objectively good, which is bullshit.
>daily type-moon threads
>34 results found
Really overclocked my multi-threaded processor.
Even F/Z's Saber hasn't been blown the fuck out as much as this guy.
No, you can tell a story is shit without reading it all. 1/3 of the story while already knowing every spoiler is more than enough to tell.
I like anime and I don't mind school settings but when people keep highly praising something it better be good.
At least look yourself.
>With those key phrases
Can you not read?
>people getting butthurt over Fate Stay Night being called shit
>Y-you didn't read it all. Finishing one route isn't enough to judge!
>B-BTFO. S-see? FSN really is good. Y-you just need to read it all.
Melty Blood made me love Sacchin. I need the remake right now.
>Can you not read?
This is funny because he actually didn't read it. You're pretty clever.
You should probably talk to Nasu or something, I'm sure he needs someone with these mad posting skills by his side to make fate stay night a masterpiece again.
tags: fate stay night, masterpiece, 10/10, great, fun, fsn
People really believe it. It depends on the key phrases since while many won't outright call it a masterpiece they'll praise it enough. You're more than welcome to look at the threads and see people praising it.
Not really. Fate is shit and saying I have to read it all won't change that. I do plan on reading the other routes but knowing how long Fate took me I doubt I'll finish anytime soon. People did highly praise it, there's no denying that either.
If those are the only tags you can think of your English must be very limited. Why so mad by the way? Does it hurt having your favorite story called out for being shit?
Bullshit, if my English skills were indeed limited there's no way I'd be able to enjoy this masterpiece of a visual novel known as Fate/Stay Night.
tags: fate stay night, masterpiece, 10/10, great, fun, fsn
I just want to see my waifu Len animated once more, she didn't have enough screentime in Carnival Phantasm.
You really can't get over the fact that you didn't like it and nobody is forcing you to like it. There is only a reason to argue if you pretend there's another side to this that cares about it objectively.
You can tell Tsuki remake is almost done, since he keeps letting it slip recently.
>Nasu: I can’t reveal anything concrete yet at the moment, but rest assured that we’ve been making progress on various titles within TYPE-MOON. I’d like to apologize about not having anything to say right now. But all I can say is that as long as FGO is in service, I just have to make the Tsukihime R collaboration a dream come true.
>Nasu: That’s why I feel that producing good content for FGO and releasing Tsukihime R are the duties entrusted to me and all of TYPE-MOON. After all, I also want to see SSR Arcueid Brunestud happen!
>Nasu: For me, my priority is to give back all the passion and encouragement we’ve received up until now. I feel the love of all the players whenever I read all of the derivative works from fans during breaks.
>Actually, back in 2013, I was writing the scenarios for the Unlimited Blade Works anime, Tsukihime R, and FGO in sync. If everything went as scheduled, Gilgamesh bringing Humanity’s Evils during the anime…
>Nasu: …with FGO’s climax, and a certain plotline within Tsukihime R would ideally have happened all at the same time. Alas, reality is a harsh mistress… (awkward laugh)
He basically admits it was going to be done in 2013 alongside UBW anime here.
>Q: Are there plans for more TYPE-MOON collaborations in the game… maybe Tsukihime?
>Iwakami: Between Mr. Shiokawa, Mr. Kinoko Nasu, and myself, Mr. Nasu is always saying “what collaboration are we going to do next, I have a couple events in mind, I want to do this, I want to do that.” That’s how we start out.
>Shiokawa: Nasu has, in public, already put it out there that maybe he’ll do a Tsukihime collaboration. There’s a sort of obligation now that we should do it soon…?
>You really can't get over the fact that you didn't like it and nobody is forcing you to like it.
You mean me or all of you? All of you people are the ones who got butthurt when I called it shit. When I said it was highly praised, you all started pretending that everybody thinks its shit and that nobody ever praises it. When I said I only read the Fate route, then all of a sudden many started saying that I can't know if its shit since I haven't read it all. So if nobody praises it, how will reading it all change my mind? Is it so hard to accept that people can see its shit after finishing one route?
There's also Fate timeline Roa appearing in some drama CD story at Nasu's request in Chaldea Ace and Zepia appearing in the Case Files that releases next month. I think he's trying to get attention on Tsuki characters.
I never said nobody praised it. I said that nobody claimed it was a literary masterpiece. You said that you read it because people told you it was. Of course people are going to say positive things about the things they like but people don't like it because they think it's a masterpiece(which if you remember is where this conversation started from).
People can like things without thinking it's the best thing in the world.
So you listened to fucking retards, congrats. Very few people think F/SN is actually good, but hell it's entertaining. Now fuck off for not reading a VN that has been translated since 2008
People don't necessarily say its a masterpiece but calling it the best VN or saying its one of the best anime related stories or general praises of the story does give the same effect.
This conversation started from me calling it shit, watching you guys get butthurt, and then watching you guys grasp at straws. Hell the literary masterpiece part was obvious hyperbole which I went along with yet it was the one criticism you all latched onto. Not saying you can't like it without thinking its the best thing in the world but I'm not the one who got butthurt when it was called shit.
This seems to be fairly endemic of the mobage phenomenon. Once a successful mobile game is on the market, it generally ends up subsuming everything else. It has a voracious demand for new content, but it also generates a steady and continuous stream of revenue as long as this content is supplied.
This is obviously quite attractive for most companies compared to the alternative of investing years of work and lots of money into a new big-budget VN or such, which may very well end up flopping.
Even if TM isn't the direct developer of F/GO, it has enough involvement with it and the other Fate spinoffs that these both consume a significant amount of its resources and also make riskier alternatives seem less necessary and less attractive.
>calling it the best VN
This doesn't happen though. Most Fate threads are not about talking to non-fans about whether or not it's good. They're usually a discussion between fans about what they did and did not like. Like with most series.
This is true, but I'm sure a Tsukihime remake would be successful. The only things they'd actually have to change is the art and music then add voices and way more people would play it.
I do doubt that Type-moon will make a brand new series anytime soon though considering how well all the fate spinoffs are doing.
I thought the music was fine but it definitely could use an upgrade, as for the voices they said they were keeping it unvoiced cause it's "more immersive" or something like that.
See? You keep grasping at straws. I don't go to the Fate threads, why would I when I barely finished the Fate route yesterday? The fate fanboys seep in other threads and constantly praise it outside the general. Not all fate discussion happens in your generals.
Considerably shorter, it has more routes though. Maybe around 30-45 hours to complete it depending on how fast you read.
Recommended route order is Arc > Ciel > Akiha > Hisui > Kohaku
>Arc > Ciel > Akiha
Nope. Ciel's route is 80%+ a copy of Arc's route, doing that will only burn you on the game and there's no much interesting to read. Skip Ciel's route, read it later if you have to.
I got memed on with FSN, maybe it was better 10+ years, but it's pretty bad by today's standards.
The only parts I didn't like was the first 3 days were pretty boring especially considering you have to repeat them.
Shirou was a massive faggot for most of the VN
And HF was too edgy sometimes
By the time of F/SN, Nasu's prose is dry and repetitious and very amateur. But he has gotten a lot better.
It's mostly for the worldbuilding anyway. Nasu has a very large world.
Let's look at the smartphone isekai thing from this season. I watched 5 minutes of episode 1 and dropped it because it was absolute trash. What difference would it be if I had wasted my time with the entire show, things that bad don't magically turn good.
Q: Are there plans for more TYPE-MOON collaborations in the game… maybe Tsukihime?
Shiokawa: Nasu has, in public, already put it out there that maybe he’ll do a Tsukihime collaboration. There’s a sort of obligation now that we should do it soon…?
Is something subjetive anyway anon, if you say that the smapho shit of this season is bad i would say that you are right but most of that is because i actually though that was going to be bad from the beggining.
In the other hand you have most of the lnfags saying that their shit get better after a time when people say that they dropped the thing after the first episode and you actually cant say shit because you really didnt read it.
>no tsukihime vs fate game
>eltnum probably won't be in the blazblue crossover
I hate modern tm
Let's be honest, it'll probably just be in the vein of the KnK one with Berserker Arcueid and some themed CEs. Tsukihime is dead and the fact that the only time it's even mentioned anymore by TM is in the context of Grand Order speaks volumes about what they think of it as now; just more content for a mobage.
>You might need a guide because it's pretty complex
i dont care about the remake at this point its never ever, i just want another metly blood game but i have to due with under night
It is precisely as complicated as it is. There are many flags hidden away that you must raise to see various scenes or get to the real end of the game.
Trying to do it randomly is sheerest folly. I know because I tried.
Yeah, it's some retard who got mad that Fate gets more attention than the Tsukihime franchise then started spouting bullshit that everyone on /a/ unironically calls it a masterpiece which is retarded. Just because someone enjoys something it doesn't automically mean that it's a masterpiece. It's just that people find themselves more interested in the Fate franchise than Tsukihime which is why it's getting more focus and exposure than the latter series. That's all there is to it.
>We ran an in-game survey in Japan twice asking people how they discovered the Fate series. In the first survey, not many people chose Fate/GO as their entry into the franchise.
>During the second survey, a lot more people responded that Fate/GO was their gateway.
I know it's hard anon. Try and remember the good times.
/fgoa/ was talking about it earlier, not a whole lot of variety
Shiki - Assassin
Arc - Berserker
Ciel - Rider? Lancer?
Akiha - Berserker?
Nrvnqsr - Berserker
Roa - Caster
Hisui - Lancer
Kohaku - Assassin
Len - Caster
Sacchin - Berserker
As much as I do hope the remake is coming along soon, it's still going to be hell waiting for the translation.
I mean seriously, the Mahoyo translation is still in progress after five years and that was a fucking kinetic visual novel. No branching story paths or anything. So I can't even imagine how long the Tsukihime remake will have at least 6 routes; along with the original ones being heavily reworked.
There is also the issue of the translation team that does pick it up, not being that familiar with the actual material. While I do appreciate the effort put in, I have noticed some odd bits like in Mahoyo that show that the translators weren't aware of certain parts of the background.
For example, I'm pretty sure they weren't aware that the Flat Snark was related to the First Magic. And they don't seem to differentiate between "Magic" and "True Magic" at all. Minor errors obviously, but since most people playing the games are going to be fans of the overall Nasuverse, it will be noticeable.
>Kohaku - Assassin
You know, there's a decent number of people whose only exposure to Tsukihime characters was Carnival Phantasm.
I really, really want to see their reaction to her story when the inevitable remake let's plays happen (in like 2030).
Lancer for the pile driver, Rider for Seven turning into a unicorn
Broom skills. Half the posts were joking but I got nothing else
I'm sure the game will be out in 2028, after promising and failing to hit the 25th anniversary
Yeah, I've just given up and am trying to learn runes but it feels bad being fucking retarded
It doesn't count as rape if it's from Shiki.
Ciel's route is pretty interchangeable with Arcs and gives some good information so you could probably flip their spots depending on who you like more but I'd agree with your list.
It can't be helped.
WHAT YOU THINK I'M HAPPY? YOU THINK I FIND IT FUNNY THAT HISUI, YOSHINOYA, CTHUKO, IZUMI AND ALL HER CHARACTERS ARE GONE? NEVER TO BE HEARD OF AGAIN? I CRY WHENEVER I REMEMBER, AND I HAVE A DAMN GOOD MEMORY.
Why do you love drawing Saber's face so much? <Sareruno>
Nasu I need to know this, too.
Takeuchi What is this atmosphere? Now I just feel like a pervert. An eccentric old man.
Nasu After doing this for 10 years of course you're eccentric. The only thing you're missing now is to keep doing it till you die. Isn't it great that you've done what you set out to do all along?
Takeuchi The person who yells "I don't wanna" while continuing the Fate franchise, and to this day still creating more lores, is telling me this...
Nasu You should just give up, we have a lot more work to do. As proof, take a look at this mountain of questions! This time we received over 2500 questions from everyone! Thank you so much everyone. We carefully selected a few and answered each one as best we could, so I hope you enjoyed it. ...Speaking of which, we didn't expect to spend a whole day just reading all the questions!
Takeuchi Okay. Sounds like you have your work cut out for you.
You have done well
>There is also the issue of the translation team that does pick it up, not being that familiar with the actual material. While I do appreciate the effort put in, I have noticed some odd bits like in Mahoyo that show that the translators weren't aware of certain parts of the background.
Commie or cokesakto? I'm leery of either, I miss Archdemon, takajun and
pic related, for entirely different reasons.
>MoF was 10 years ago
>SA was 9 years ago
Fucking stop it. The passing of time, I want to go back
>getting healed by best girl
what's not to like?
I want to have hopes for this year's TM Ace, but the cover is all GO shit once again...
Holy FUCK hype, can't believe I missed a new volume announcement. Wish it'd all get TL'd already.
Is there even gonna be one? It usually releases in April, 2015's released later cause it was a big issue with UBW just finishing airing. There was a FGO Ace a couple months ago and I don't see plans for a TM Ace so I'm pretty sure this year's got replaced with the FGO Ace.
It's not just 2015, the release schedule is inconsistent as fuck.
I remember seeing it announced a couple of months ago, I think for August. The cover is just the shitty FGO 1.5 art recycled, and nothing besides Fate on the headlines.
You have great taste, but I'm still struggling to acccept that Nasu will never write anything besides Servant wank ever again. Or work on a complete project entirely written by him.
>no Type-Moon Wars by ArcSys
>Tsukihime R cast + Aoko + Touko + Ryougi + Sion + FSN cast + a couple characters from FZ and FGO
The dream is fucking dead. Even if they ever do a proper game ever again, it'll be just Fate and flooded with GO Servants.
Really hope Sion at least is in that new crossover.
If anything, he says he enjoys writing the stories in F/GO. I mean, he's basically given the reign and he can do whatever he wants in it. He earns a ton fuck of money in return so it's a win-win situation.
Funny thing is the only decent/good stories that came out of FGO are the ones written by him. Especially Camelot and Babylon.
