Commie's translation is accurate in terms of the language used, but for some reason the nuance of it got fucked up along the way. In Japanese it sounds like she did work on it (probably pretty hard given her work ethics in GX), but she didn't make it in time and is now guilt tripping hard and saying she slacked off too much. In English it just sounds like she was a lazy fuck who forgot to do her job.
I don't really feel like giving Commie too much shit in this case because I wouldn't know how to do better. Maybe something like "I didn't try hard enough", but that's the very opposite of being accurate.

The first 6 episodes of GX in particular are actually pretty good, I'd go as far as to say the first episode of GX is the best episode in the entire series across all seasons

As somebody who recently binged the whole thing, if you didn't like Season 1, I don't think you'll like season 2.

I do reccomend though if you intend to drop the series, that you at least watch Ep1 of season 3 before you do because it's got one of the most incredible, dumb hype things ever and it's worth watching before you never care about Symphogear again
