I think Arima became a cop/detective or something of the like while Yukino became a Doctor. She had to drop out of college initially because of pregnancy but she later resumed her studies and became a doctor.

She gets pregnant and it delays her becoming a doctor. And she's actually an average doctor. That one girl that was her school rival actually becomes an amazing doctor. I think that friend also married that older guy she was dating while in high school. Their blonde friend wants to fuck their daughter, and they're somehow cool with it.
Their other friends are doing okay too. I think the step-siblings are together, and some are travelling the world.

Stylish direction but it doesn't save the show from being mediocre on its generic high school romance drama, and one thing that triggered me so much is that it ended abruptly without any sort of conclusion and proper ending.

Great series until the middle.

Manga becomes Arima`s terrible melodrama after midpoint (a little after the anime ends). Don`t bother reading it. He reveals he actually wants to be a police detective or officer, I don`t remember. She becomes a doctor and a mom. As the other /a/non said, their daughter starts a relationship with Asaba.

That episode when Arima realizes he's in love with Yukino is the absolute best. One of my favorite episodes of anything.

I never finished it but found it to be a thoughtful character study. It began to feel repetitive in its later half which is where had I lost interest.

I liked the main pairing but didn't care about a lot of the other characters and after finding out that the playboy ends up fucking their daughter I got so disgusted that I now feel the need to shitpost whenever someone talks about it.

Looking back at it, it wasn't that great. Pretty generic and boring, and the last episodes on the anime were focused on same fat guy who became handsome or something if I remember correctly.

It's a romantic comedy directed in the style of Eva's last two episodes. Just the fact that it exists is almost a miracle in itself.

It's also Anno's second best project after Eva. I honestly think he found an amazing form of expression and a way of visualizing emotions with Eva and lost this after Kare Kano.

Shiki Jitsu still has his trademark style and feels just as humane as Eva. And while Shin Godzilla doesn't focus on human emotions that much, it is still pretty well directed.
