She does it again with the ribbon, and she does it constantly in the games as well. One of the untouched themes of the franchise is how creepy Yuuna's character truly is. She's cripplingly terrified of all forms of conflict, she's a chronic liar, and she views her relationship with Tougou as more than just love or friendship, but as some kind of lifeline that without her she'd have nothing. No one knows why she's like this because the viewer never sees her thoughts, so you can bet it's all there to tell us something.

Looking at that scene, the scene where she 'de-ribbons' Togo, the scene where she borderline shoves the nurse out of the way to take Togo's chair, the mobage scenes where she suddenly has a dizzy spell right when Sonoko and Togo are bonding in front of her and the one where she gets openly jealous until Sonoko points out that she's jealous and she changes the topic, she's actually really possessive and insecure, strangely so at first considering how Togo never paid serious attention to anyone but her before episode 8. It's like she expects to be abandoned unless she keeps Togo's attention on her, when there should be absolutely no reason for her to worry about that given how clingy Togo herself is to Yuna. I hope her mental state gets some examination in S2.

Nah. But I hope ss2 touches on Yuuna's problem, the series actually gloss over the dark side of her personalities make her the goofy character. Truth is Yuuna is more sly than any other in the hero club. Not implying it a bad thing, but this girl definitely was trying her hardest to squeeze her way out of every potential conflict is damn afraid of confronting problems head on. She has a talent in punching things and make Tougou goes gay for her, I will give her that.

Tougou was infatuated with Yuuna because she came to Tougou when she was at a very low point and didn't have anyone else in her life. Sonoko and Wasshi experienced a great tragedy and fought through a lot of hardships together. The latter seem more organic to me.
