I really hope this isn't the planned development. As absurd as it sounds I feel that the first arcs of prison school were much more effective because they were more "grounded" not in reality but in its own version of reality and the cavalry arc in particular suffered because it threw caution completely to the wind in that regard and things got to ludicrous to be interesting. I felt like this current arc could be rebounding from that but I don't know if it can pull it off with this kind of direction.

I think that ship sailed or the author forgot about it, or didn't really want to follow up on it seeing it will be Kiyoshi who will try to stop Mari from leaving than Kate or Meiko personally, which for sure will include some absurdity in it or Mari blushing at him or some love declaration about his sister-in-law being needed here or something even more stupid.

But in the end it will be Kiyoshi action which will bring Mari back again putting Mari into Kiyoshibowl run, if Chiyo or Hana ever fallen out from it.
