Do fujo who ship gay couples also ship straight ones?
I think people tend to gravitate toward yaoi pairing more because 90% romance is garbage while side-friendship tends to be more natural and developed.
>mfw I've seen Japanese fujoshi who want the characters of their homo ship to get into relationships with women
A fair amount do. There are some that only enjoy homo pairings but they tend to be in high school and think 'Yaoi is so much better than anything! Ew! Girls! Het! Gross! XDD!!1one " but they will grow out of it eventually.
They seem to be the same thing, but I still think young fujos are the worst thing to grace this planet.
I'm not really. I've used to ship Zelgadis/Lina from Slayers 12 years ago and that was it. There are hetero pairs that I like (Hei/Yin, Isaac/Miria, etc), but they are usually canon and I'm in no way as committed to them as I am to homo ships. I preffer girl/boy bro-type of friendship more anyway.
My nigga, I'm too old and busted for this shit. I've shipped homos for years, but now what I look for in my pairings is a good, convincing dynamic (i.e. the two guys in OP's pic), not only muh dicks.
Gayfag here so I probably don't count. But I have no interest in het or yuri relationships. I mean, would a hot-blooded straight man be interested in gay pairings and seeing two men fuck? I doubt it.
Very true, though tumblr seems to harbor extra anger for straight pairings for some reason.
>common hetero fujoships
Here's one of the het ships of mine, a fujo.
I think on average I tend to prefer gay shipping, this said, if a couple has good chemistry I'm not opposed to ship them even they are straigh. Some of my OTP are straight.
The problem is that most romance 90% is boring shit because author write their own waifu.
That one was pretty cute.
I'm okay with this.
I think boys should love boys first and foremost
I think the thing about young fujos and the 'ew het'-stance is that they discover yaoi as some sort of bizarro mirror
they try to imagine themselves as the uke, the small fragile one in the relationship and try to discover their own sexuality in that way without feeling 'threatened'
kind of like a self-insert with a dick
most seem to grow out of this- the 'het is ew'-phase that is
you never outgrow being a pervert
Any gender is fine as long as there's romance and chemistry. I like pedo ships too, Kodomo no Jikan is one of my favorite manga. The forbidden love aspect of lolicon and shotacon really gets me going.
Sasuke is still gay for Naruto, though.
what the hell does that have anything to do with
-hating straight people?
A lot of them seem to be allergic to het, but just because they're not doesn't mean they suddenly have better taste. Case in point, the people who say they just care about chemistry yet like the couple in OP pic. OP pic are trash and would still be trash if they were het. I think people convince themselves they care about chemistry but they know if it were a het couple they wouldn't be making such a fuss about it and going to such great lengths to pretend those characters actually have chemistry or a well-written relationship. It's like an unconscious bias. Kind of like when you see some really attractive person and if they are a little different than the usual you play that up just because you are already attracted but in reality they aren't that great. Everyone thinks with their dicks or their vaginas though so it's no surprise.
This is weird to me as well because there isn't anything realistic about the storyline for those two it reads like a shoujo manga and "not fujo delusion" so the fact that they actually kiss suddenly makes it better? Even if they buttfuck every night canonly it doesn't mean it's well-written because it's really not. Who cares if it's canon or not if it's shit? That's why I don't trust people who say they only care about chemistry but ship this shit just because it's canon.
Point is people pretend they only care about chemistry to validate their opinions or shit taste but in reality they are still just thinking with their dicks or vaginas because they wouldn't pretend it's not trash if it were het.
But the chemistry between two characters is what what makes me decide to ship them or not. It's not something you can rationally decide, it's all about emotions. And this works for anime/manga in general. You can play the role of elitist who watches niche series because 'muh I have patrician taste and you don't', but what is really a "shit taste"?
Fujoshi here, and Tamaki/Haru is one my favorite ships since 2008. So, fuck off.
Where did the good fujo go? The ones that used to ship whichever two boys showed up the most in a regular (mostly straight) show and didn't care about anything else, they just wanted to see them fuck.
Nowdays they just care about their homos being canon or being good "muh gays" representation.
