Is K-On! the greatest slice of life anime ever made?
>>159694818
that's not oreimo

Yes, and that's an impressive feat given how many other incredible shows are in the genre. (if we're including fantasy with SoL elements you could argue for Aria or Kino no Tabi). Also I love my wife Mugi

End your life.
>>159694818
I believe so.
>>159694838
Oreimo isn't worthy of even being in the conversation.
>>159694818
No. But it's up there and I regret not watching it sooner.
>>159694818
No.
>>159696077
I still need to watch Azumanga.
>>159694818
That's not Non Non Biyori.

Azumanga Daioh is great and deserves to be in the conversation but it feels too tied to its 4koma origins (where a lot of the jokes just work better in the manga) whereas K-On, through both original scenes and excellent direction, managed to flesh out an otherwise average 4koma slice of life so much. That's what separates an ascended 10/10 from a 7-8/'10.

sauce??? never seen this before
>>159694818
yes, that and azumanga daoih

>(where a lot of the jokes just work better in the manga)
I don't disagree but I think the slower pace of the anime allows it to much stronger as a real character focused series instead of a fast paced gag series.
It may not be as funny, sure but it feels like it has more emotional weight.

That would be Sora no Woto.

Great but really needed to be 2 cour, the plot with the rogue general was so fucking rushed
