Why is Jobin so fucking serious about the fruit and the company? Literally just give Gappy one or let him find the branch unheeded to save his mom. This plot is either really stupid or really smart. Stupid in that it can be solved in two seconds. Smart in that this is probably Araki telling us Jobin is just as evil and greedy as the Rock Humans but more subtle about it.

It was said that Tsurugi's date for the rock disease is coming up soon so maybe Jobin wants the fruit to save him (and maybe that's why Jobin disappeared with his side of the family). It seems like the Higashikata house would rather save Tsurugi over Gappy's mom so the warning that the Higashikatas aren't his friends (they will betray him) is true.

Jobin and Gappy have a lot of conflicting morals against each other, and it's good character development for them, but Tsurugi and Joshu separately I think would benefit from this ordeal the most.

Tsurugi seems obvious on why it's good for him, but Joshu has a clear bias for his family and Jobin as seen in Beetle Tendency. I think it'd be good development for him to pick a side on which is truly right or the family that makes him happy.

I still think pic related points to this. Not once do any of these 4in the cover actually sit down and knock their heads together. They all want the same things, they all know small things. Norisuke probably has a reasonable knowledge about the shrine, Jobin and Kaato's kid killing. Jobin probably knows more about the fruit, it's dangerous and the specific reasons why he doesn't just instantly shove one down Tsurugi's squirrel cheeks.
Joshu cares more for his family over Josuke, instead of warning what was going on during Vitamin C, he went to yell for his blind sister and cared more about them. He could talk things things out with Josuke and Yasuho to an extent but refuses to.
And Josuke is paranoid as fuck (Rightly so) to the point where even though Norisuke is heavily leaning to them over Jobin he still refuses to ask for any further help from them.
They all generally have the same goal of protecting their family and could be unstopping if they cracked their heads together, but they don't. I think Kira's "Be a man of the land or of the sea but not both." comment is much more interconnected. Jobin, Joshu with their metal absed earth stands. Norisuke and Gap with their smoother, water like stands (The way King Nothing "flows".)

I'm not a parent yet, but I would do the same in either person's shoes. Araki is really hammering the family dynamics, that means everything from the happiness, to the deceit and selfishness.

It's pretty widely-agreed that the resolution to the 'fight' (and most of the fight in general) were not impressive.

Yasuho got lucky, woke up in time, found a phone, followed Gappy and beat a cripple. It wasn't particularly cunning or impressive and now she's getting thrown out of towers instead of getting a chance to be of any more use. People have every right to be dissatisfied.

The previous arc was the one with Dolomite and Blue Hawaii, which featured Yasuho being effortlessly sidelined before a pretty unsatisfying conclusion where she just followed Gappy to bail him out. She might have saved the day but it wasn't due to her own efforts (Unlike the Doobie Wah fight).

Like I said, you might be really happy with this, but other people have every right to be dissatisfied.

We saw in Blue Hawaii that she still has a strained relationship with her mother considering she spoke curtly to her and slammed the door in her face as she left. Araki still has plans for her character development and her return after a year of no appearances would have been a great time for it but instead it was mainly just to show their reliance on eachothet and Jobin's resolve in accomplishing his goals.

Gappy spent the majority of the fight running away from the zombies on his own. And her threatening Dolomite with quicksand doesn't add a tremendous amount of depth, either.

I'm certain he hasn't dropped it. It was played up to be a big deal in the early chapters and even then Sasame and Daiya claim to have gotten their Stands through the Wall Eyes and not via bite marks like a lot of people have been speculating. The marks appearing seems to coincide with Joshu and Yasuho unlocking their Stands but it's probably something different seeing as Josuke already had his and a line of his in chapter 2 implied he remembered how to use it as well before we even knew of Josefumi and what Sasame/Daiya had to say. The bite marks are still an enigma, and why those three were bitten we don't know yet. Probably for associating or coming near Josuke. They all happened in or around the hospital too, sans Josuke. Maybe the theory of Holly or her doctors being part of the group trying to monetise immortality actually has some credence to it and it's linked to someone there.

For its because you have a sort of relationship with him.
You know nothing like him, you learn with him, throughout the mystery. It sounds self inserty but it's better than Giorno who knows everything straight off the bat. He's not a distinct trope like Jotaro or Josuke where it comes more towards your taste.
We see through the world with him and most of the time his reactions generally align with the reader.
Most of his fights are generally satisfing with the simple things like S&W punching through Damo. There's a lot of raw emotion that's really beautifully done with him alongside the funny quirks.

Soft and Wet is my second/third favourite stand over all, simple design, versatile ability and shovels. All I wish was that it was a bit more consistent.
