Depends on the story really.
Some just have the MC fucking the harem girls just because they can, which is obviously just for the power-fantasy aspect.

But Mushoku Tensei built an entire arc over the MC being absolutely heart broken after his first time (at like 13) basically leaves in the middle of the night due to a misunderstanding.
