It's not really pandering to get any of the big groups so all it has are few people who enjoy the character and the story.

I love it but it's obvious that it doesn't have the mainstream appeal.

It does have some fujo appeal, especially any times these two are on screen alone.

An anime could definitely boost the series popularity, though it should have been a 5 men squad.
