As long as those smiles are there
Wanna keep on shinin'!
I'll stake it all on my ultimate pride
Wanna be the perfect
No matter when, we'll believe
In our tomorrow
Now, on wings of courage, Just fly away!
We are future idles!
This song of the soul (Slice through the darkness, coord of miracles!)
Clash heads in the live that transcends space and time (The real fun's just getting started!)
For our dreams to gather within our hands
Let's go, towards the ultimate future
Never give up! Never give up!!
Never give up!!! Never give up!!!!
I want to fuck Lala.
>Wanna be the perfect
But she's already perfect.

So I just finished watching Rainbow Live and I'd like to give my thoughts on it.
I went into this show expecting a show that wouldn't top Pripara as my favourite /ai/ show, but not only did Rainbow Live surpass Pripara in storytelling and character writing, it's become my new favourite anime in general.
I made a post about this previously but I'll say it again; I'm glad the show left characters personalities affected by any previous angst throughout the show rather than whenever the show decides to focus on their issue. While this isn't a major thing, it was also nice to see the side characters (Namely the main casts parents) reach their happy ends as well.
This show also had a lot of cathartic moments that had me grinning like an idiot such as
Kazuki killing Hiro, Wakamomand Rei punching Jin.
Lastly my ranking of the characters. Something I'd like to preface this with is that I think all of RL's characters are great so the characters at the end of the list; it's not that I dislike them, I like the other characters above them more. Also have fun with nicknames.
Ran done well>バラ>ハッピ ナル>ニャ=Mirei 0.5>バアアアア二イイイイング>メルヘン>*Cryptic, plot relevant statements*>Plagiarised>Prism Show-sexual>Pidgeon>Plagiarism>How does her hair work?>Pink Kappa
Sorry I couldn't keep this post short, I just had to get out all my opinions on this fantastic show.
>now you should watch KoP
I'll do that next, but I might not make a post about it, it depends on whether I have any thoughts to give
>You're a funny man.
Although the artstyle rarely focuses on them, the middle-school aged PriParas do have boobs (except Muri-chan now).
Considering PriPara Yui is aged up, I picture her as a shade meatier than the average middle-school idol. That could just be my headcanon.
Yes, Yui is much easier to trick, distract with rice and is more prone to daydreaming. Unless you were Shougo, I doubt she'd even put up much of a fight even if she wasn't enjoying it, whereas Lala might cry, complain, scratch you or beat you futilely and adorably with her tiny fists.
Are you saying you wanna fuck a girl that you might think of her as a daughter?
Chika please, you can't spent your whole life chasing after and trying to marry your idol senpais and their scrub friends, you have to Just Be Yourself and git gud on your own terms.
O-one more time, please, but this time say it like you mean it.
How do they do it? How does every episode of Pripara be so fantastic?
>Idols, airing since its inception in 2001, remains as the international television franchise with the largest collective global viewership in the world to date, shown in versions in over 150 countries worldwide. Cumulatively, all of the various separate versions combined have been watched by at least 6.5 billion viewers (more than 90% of the world's 7-billion human population)
This episode made me cry like a little girl.
Tell me, what do you think her underpants look like?
So I said I'd watch KoP next in >>159642647 and just did and my thoughts on it are this:
>Why are all the new characters so shit?
>Why were RL's MCs reduced to voiceless cameos?
>Why was that ending so fucking abrupt?
>Why was this so creepily lewd&gay?
>WHY IS KINPRI VASTLY WORSE THAN ITS PREDECESSOR WHICH WAS A 10/10 SHOW?
>>Why are all the new characters so shit?
I wouldn't call them shit, they're just thrown in en masse without being given time to develop. They might get better in the sequels.
>>Why were RL's MCs reduced to voiceless cameos?
Because they marketed KinPri to fujos and were unsure the girls would be well-received.
They appear more and speak in KinPri 2.
>>Why was that ending so fucking abrupt?
They had budget issues.
>>Why was this so creepily lewd&gay?
See two answers above.
>>WHY IS KINPRI VASTLY WORSE THAN ITS PREDECESSOR WHICH WAS A 10/10 SHOW?
It's a movie trying to use a similar format as a tv show so it was rushed and unfocused, at least when taken as a single instalment.
Tight budget meant minimal returning characters.
Pretty sure the RL cast were all A-list.
Kinpri was originally never going to happen , frankly it's a miracle they were able to make the first movie at all, the staff wanted to make more PR and some producer at TT/Avex liked RL enough to pitch a standalone movie to higher ups.
Also OTR had higher CD sales than any of the girls so they had some incentive to milk it, Flavor was produced by Avex without the staff knowing about it.
Budget and runtime issues.
RL had over 50 episodes to do everything it needed to and it's one of the most efficient anime to do so.
Kinpri's first movie had to draw in new and old audiences and make a profit at the same time something near impossible considering what it was.
Basically the entire point of the first movie was to secure a budget for the second movie which is actually feature length and possibly get permission for a third movie.
>yfw some smug chunni and her gang of little girl idols make you their personal bitch.
>the placement of the blue gems on Mahiru's chest
I'm onto your lewd tricks, BNP.
Hi /ai/! It's been a while since I've been here, I don't know why but I just had to take a break from idle stuff for a while, stupid real life and Aikatsu Stars replacing Aikatsu sorta ruined my life. I'm glad to see it's as lovely as always!
I've got a couple of questions. Is Stars any good? Is it as good as Aikatsu was?
How are the PriPara subs? Last time I was on the the middle of S2 watching it raw.
Are there any scans of the Aikatsu books that have all the pictures of the cards and coords in them? I ordered a couple and wouldn't mind providing scans if people are interested!
Lots of Love You to everyone!
>Is Stars any good? Is it as good as Aikatsu was?
It was good until near the end of S1 and hasn't recovered since, probably Aikatsu's lowest point right now.
>How are the PriPara subs? Last time I was on the the middle of S2 watching it raw.
The last ~10 episodes of S2 and last ~15 episodes of S3 are still unsubbed and "are being worked on slowly". Idol Time PP is currently up to date with subs though.
I think someone posted scans of the book you're talking about but I don;t have it saved and I'm not sure if I'm thinking of the right thing, hopefully someone else can help.
Hi ainon, glad to have you back.
>Is Stars any good?
There was and is still good in there, it's just getting harder and harder to find. I and many others think the series shat itself with one specific event at the end of S1, it got so bad that Akatsukin permanently left /ai/ over it due to being pretty much the only one defending it. S2 is better than that at least, but it comes with its own set of annoyances.
>Is it as good as Aikatsu was?
Fuck no. I used to think Ichigo gen > Stars > Akari gen, but not after that dreadful episode.
>How are the PriPara subs?
S2 and S3 are coming out slightly faster than before. The current series, Idol Time, is subbed weekly.
There are no scans of those books to my knowledge.
>How are the PriPara subs? Last time I was on the the middle of S2 watching it raw.
Patchy. Doki are still working on S2, and are up to 78 (of 89).
S3 (90 on) has been taken over by SMC-Subs who are up to about 126 (of 140).
Idol Time is fully subbed by SMC currently (14 eps) - At least for an hour until the new ep airs.
Stars! is ok...they manage to squander any sort of momentum they build up over and over again. It has its moments but most of the time I find myself wishing it was doing the opposite of what it just did.
Looks like the Tour de Prance event has you choosing a team to support.
Shion's team I.G.O
Mikan representing Gaarmageddon
Sophie get dressed up for Umeboshi
No idea how it's going to play into the actual event.
>editors face when they get submissions from fully grown males
You just have to stimulate her the right way
So Michiru is basically a bipolar Aroma?
For a moment I though she was gonna pop out wings.
True to the original design. As seen by Aroma for all of 5 seconds before she painstakingly recreated it from memory.
Aroma best designer.
Not really a fan of how Michiru is basically Chili 2.0. Muri > Dekiru. Her song was okay, her making drama was great. Mimiko's plot getting resolved next episode seems really sudden, the show's suddenly going really fast as opposed to the relatively slow first cour.
>Aroma best designer
>Designer of TWO brands
Seriously, how can anyone even compete?
She wasn't the designer for the brand she used prior to Love Devi, the name of which I've forgotten. That's why her becoming the designer of Love Devi through that contest in 104 was such a big deal.
And then this episode she was just able to give her design to Meganee and get a new brand created immediately.
just here to point out that inferior western lolis will never compare to genuine Nippon lolis.
they are grumpy and they have a shorter best by date.
I will bet money these to lolis are the same age.
Why is Michiru such a womanlet?
I'm guessing they thought there was still room to work with Chili's concept, and/or they're deliberately planting her as future plotline when Nonsugar somehow ends up getting involved in Idol Time.
Chili never really had anyone as an equal. Pepper was put there as a foil, and Hibiki wasn't around her enough. Such is the fate of niche gimmick idols to become a punchline.
MIchiru and Chili could become best friends outside Pripara and best enemies inside. It could expand both their characters if played right.
Either that or Chili's never coming back and they wanted a replacement to bully.
I never said it was a bad thing.
>Three stars on Avocado emblem
>Three stars on clocktower door
Half life 3 confirmed!
NonSugar probably is coming back, even if only briefly. So far the three main idols have each been related to one of the units from the previous show, and I imagine we'll get a rival unit mentored by the other three units. But because Michiru is already Gaarmageddon's idol, I doubt we'll get much interaction between her and Chili, at most maybe a one off joke.
The problem with NonSugar was how after all the focus they got, the resolution to their character arc was that they lose in the first round, cry, and then do just about jack shit for the remainder of S3.
>Mimiko's plot getting resolved next episode seems really sudden,
It does seem really quite abrupt. They make a big deal about her not following Babarina in her acceptance of Pripara, and then only a few eps later undo that.
Hoping for a fake-out. Gets entranced by Pripara but snaps out of it at the last second "This hypnotic environment is how they're fooling these poor girls! Pripara is more evil than I thought!"
I want to carry her around though, for sure. himestyle or really anything, I bet she's as light as a feather.
it might be fun to bully her by placing her somewhere high that she can't get down from, but I would probably just feel bad about it and help her back down
>it might be fun to bully her by placing her somewhere high that she can't get down from
I like the way you think anon. Except for the helping her get back down part, of course.
I have to ask, I see this simple comment every time an ep of Aikatsu or Pripara airs.
Do you even care or are you just starting conversation?
Anyway, Michiru is an interesting character. Although similar to Chili, her character is set up in a way that allows greater flexibility by using the handwave of chuuni syndrome to shape her into whatever they need her to be.
Chili was kinda locked into just being arrogant and looking down on people until Pepper tempered that.
I agree with what you have to say to an extent, but I'm still not a fan of how they're essentially recycling a character gimmick. And not just her personality changing when she enters PriPara, but Michiru and Chili's two different personalities are very similar to each other. I'll admit a big part of why I'm not a fan of it is simply because I don't like her PriPara personality, while I really liked the Michiru we'd seen outside of PriPara up to this point.
Such strong will power.
Michiru should give inspirational speeches.
This episode was pretty great, I loved the song and Michiru, or Michelle's performance was pretty neat specially her making drama, but damn, she's so fucking smug, her manager is smug as fuck too, damn.
I like both personalities, is like outside PP you can fuck Michiru easily but inside PP she fucks you, something like Chili but better because she was stuck up as that arrogant oujo before Non Sugar.
I just prefer meek, rapeable girls.
>People complaining about the lack of loli main characters in anime
>/ai/ shows have the most huggable and kidnappable lolis that appeal to lolicons
Nothing good ever comes out of more bigfriend popularity, unless they're naturally acclimated to little girl shows.
Comfy and ded is how I like it
I want to die
/ai/ characters are for DAUGHTERU ONLY
You can't really expect me to believe that.
I want to make daisuki with this blonde Roller
Watched 21 eps.
Is that you, dedicated /pc/ image renamer?
Not him, sorry for disappoint you.
This is not a place for /pc/scum. They are a lesser race and we do not take migrants here. They should go back to their shithole and if it's dead they should die with it.
Which wong is gonna befreind her?
Gay stuff with voice.
Mikuru is the only /ai/ character I lewd.
They are all pretty flat in the chest region, but I'm not sure if any of them are as skinny as she is if that's what you are asking, her entire frontside is like an ironing board.
Season 3 will make Elza just as cute as Mizuki, you'll see!
PP it's more than memes, that's why it's cool, a show that's only memes is Stars, well, Aikatsu in general where characters become catchphrases rather than beginning from there and then working on becoming real characters.
Fuck off Kirara and Elza.
The two most (and only) horrible individuals in the series. Especially Kirara.
She's perfect for a reason.
I know that, and it doesn't make it any less retarded, just think about the shit for a minute without immediately saying "that's the way it's always been, it must be the correct way to do things".
>assuming someone is new just because they think digits are fucking stupid
>caring about accuracy of grammar on a chinese origami website
12 years, I've been in this shithole for 12 fucking years, that's a higher number than the age I like my lolis to be. the shit doesn't even matter; digits are fucking dumb and the best decisions that were ever made on this site were when they were disabled.
I've been here almost 11 years, so I understand where you're coming from, but you need to understand that digits have been a part of board culture ever since its founding in 2003. Both moot and hiroyuki have supported digits, so saying you want them gone is going against their wishes.
It's not the digits that are important -- it's the context behind them combined with the community with which they are shared. If that post had happened in any other thread, how many replies do you think it would have gotten? One, maybe two, then it would have died. This board has had nearly 1,600 quints now, so who cares about the number by itself, really?
It's all about context. Think about it.
Being off by 1 is considered "imperfect" or "stupid/baka." So, if Elza gets off by 1, she's no longer perfect, and haters of Elza can criticize her. However, when Elza and her entourage keep winning over and over AND OVER again while the G4 have gotten NOTHING, it starts to become pretty entertaining not because of the numbers themselves but because of the context of Elza being perfect.
This is actually one of the rare instances where numbers HELP the discussion of the thread instead of hijack it with pictures of Bateman and anime pics pointing to the right. It stirs discussion between the Elza fanbase and the Hate Elza fanbase, and it encourages discussion about the show.
Like it or not, it's pretty genius.
No, she's just a baka loli but still very sexy. Like Ran.
>meets little girl
>immediately his first thought is that he is going to jail regardless of his intent
but anon, he's just like us, we love little girls but at the same time are scared of them, just look what that little bully did to him, immediately said she would scream and say he was molesting them if he didn't do what he wanted, he was right to fear them, and he was much safer at home in his room like a good NEET.
if you never encounter one to begin with you don't have to worry about that, though. He was right to delay on sending the email, his sixth sense detected the imminent threat but in the end he ignored it.
>it's become my new favourite anime in general.
Been a while since I checked these threads, nice to see this post, very ahpyp for yuo.

I miss these dorks
No, I mean uneven. The first cour in particular is a slow mess with way too many characters introduced and half of them being given nothing to do. The second kinda does the opposite but it's at least slightly more balanced in terms of character focus since there are no more introductions to take care of and the Symphonia Selection plot starts shaping up, then from the Don Bonby identity tease to the end of the third cour it's pretty good and from the big twist to the end it's the best /ai/ show. But Rainbow Live is always at least pretty good with multiple peaks that get almost as awesome, on top of having an infinitely better character balance due to the smaller cast and them being more connected to each other, which is a huge plus. RL is an ensemble, DMF is cast herds.
