Honestly, the 3D students weren't as bad as the actual bad 2D animation. Some of the last episodes of the show fucked up some of the big emotional moments. There weren't many, but it still brought the show down a little bit. I still loved it regardless.

So if anything, I'd hope they make those scenes look better before replacing the 3D students. Both would be good though.

If Hira hadn't been around there probably wouldnt have been a confession by ep 3/4 and there definitely wouldnt have been th best scene in anime history in ep7. Without Chinatsu our beloved wife Akanecchi would probably have taken things a bit slower since she wouldn't have had much of a reason to feel insecure.
