Seriously, what the fuck happened? No LN series makes me as autistically angry as this one, because I can at least recognize when something is just bad writing or author bias. IS makes no fucking sense because the writer seemingly went out of their way to develop Charlotte as a heroine, unlike anyone else in the story prior to that point, and then completely arbitrarily just discards her at the worst timing possible. It's not like she succeeded some purpose and wasn't necessary anymore, the entire thing was apparently pointless. I don't fucking understand how this happens.

My best guess is that Charlotte's intro is so long because it's technically combined with Laura's intro. I didn't follow the story after S1 but apparently her and Laura are more or less teamed/paired up, so with Laura being the edgelord she ended up being an antagonist while Charlotte was an ally/support. This is was a massive fuckup because it resulted in Charlotte getting way too much positive development compared to other heroines at the time, and also looking much more important as a character.

I have no idea why the author made her character so romantic compared to the others though. The romance compared to the whole bath/name plothole is just an impossible to explain level of stupid.
