this show started out really interesting, but after about 10 episodes, the main character became annoying as hell. i could barely stand watching the entire season in one sitting, that's how annoying he is

It's fairly obvious that the author wrote himself into a corner with Rem. I feel like he wanted an Emilia end somewhere down the line, but now he has to keep Rem around because she's the one of the bigger reasons why this thing is so popular.
